Best internet for New Orleans: Uverse or Cox?

Which should I get? I'm doing internet ONLY. I can with the base package for either one.
Does Uverse still do the monthly equipment fee? I know they have a 300gb cap per month on the basic.

It's been a while and they may have improved in the last three years, but my first reaction is not Uverse. They were horrible with constant outages when I had them.

I have Uverse and have never had any issues. Cox offers more speed but Uverse is going to offer 1gbps soon.
I have 24mbps and just tested and got 29.04mbps.
If you have any tier TV service with Uverse you have no data cap.

I asked this question a few months back and the answer was a resounding "Cox." I have used them and have been happy so far
