serious answer here: i picked up a 75" hisense with roku and dolby vision + HDR for like $600 after christmas and it looks damn good.

i'm still waiting on a TV to truly 'wow' me so spending twice that right now on something that i may or may not be able to tell the difference on seems like a waste.

At this price point, oled is out and so are mini-led lcd.

Your best bet is finding an open box deal at Best Buy. They have the x950h 75” in this price range; that was their top of the line 2020 model.

You can get the mini-led TCL at Best Buy for 1299 right now. Probably the only mini in this price point. I have one and I'm very happy with it.

What does the tech board think of the Samsung Q80A? Best Buy has it for $1700.00 right now.

I’m going with the Sony x90j for $1599 at Best Buy. Been looking at a ton of reviews to the point of analysis paralysis. Spending less so I can go for the Sonos arc soundbar as well.

Do we think that the Samsung QN90A 75" will approach 2k after Thanksgiving? Maybe less?

I'm targeting this TV and would be willing to wait if it pops at less than its current price of $2600

With that price range you are limited to LCD displays. What do you want it to do the best, movies, games, or sports?

For movies and smart functions Sony all the way: XR-75X90J or XBR-75X800H

Vizio would be my next choice: Vizio MQ7

Samsung is dishonest in their marketing. I wouldn't buy any of their stuff anymore. LG has this out to compete with the Samsung QLED and to me is better of the two new types of LCD display: LG NanoCell 80 Series

I'm also leaning towards the Sony X90J, but the viewing angle comments online kinda have me thrown off.

Very good TVs.

Watever you do don't get a non OLED LG, absolute junk.

One of the dumber posts on here in awhile and completely inaccurate.

I doubt it, maybe $2200 or so. Miniled won't see the same price drops with the tech being so new and so good.

I just bought an LG 75 series 75" TV for $999 and it is stunning. No ESPN on the LG store though...
