I'm looking at either Spotify or Pandora to pay a monthly subscription to. Fairly novice as i have primarily used iTunes Radio and Sirius satellite services in the past. Want to eliminate the ads that I am getting from either Spotify or Pandora, that and assuming there are a few more features for a monthly subscription?

Speaking of ads, I get ads on Pandora through my phone. However, when streaming Pandora through my audio / video receiver, I don't get any ads whatsoever and I am not paying for a subscription- any ideas? I'm using the same login ID as I do on my phone.

Added to say that I am a Prime member at Amazon. Should I be looking at this option as well?

If you have Amazon Prime, I would look into their streaming music service since it's included with your membership.

How big of a deal is new music to you? If it is then Prime isn't for you. If your musical tastes are stuck in previous decades then Prime plus buying a few greatest hits and compilation albums can probably cover most of what you like to listen to.

I prefer Spotify by a mile over Pandora. But they are different products so it really depends if you prefer random play radio or you prefer listening to certain artist and albums.

give google play a spin as well.

seems to have a pretty huge library and stations on pandora which have gotten VERY OLD because of the same tracks constantly when put into google music its like opening a door to a new universe of music...

I've been pleased with Apple Music and I'm certain subsequent iterations of this product will only make it better and better.

YMMV though.

I was going to say that was an elaborate outdoor kitchen if you sold your house

This, they're not the same thing at all.

What are the main differences between Pandora, Rhapodsy and Spotify?

I'm exclusive to Pandora... I think hearing new songs depends on the artists on your "channel". Its not unusual hearing a song on Pandora a few weeks before hearing it as a regular rotation on the radio.

and damn sure don't get a classical music channel on pandora. It will be the same twenty songs over and over.

This.

I can tell within 2 songs after walking into a store or someone's house if Pandora is the DJ.
