Are Beats Solo 2 Wireless Headphones worth taking out the box?

Got a pair free with the purchase of a MacBook Air. Never had Beats before, was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them.

Audiophiles will say they're overpriced and not as good as others. Beats are popular so that many people can't be wrong.
Or you could just sell them on ebay.

that's what I was thinking. I'm more of an earbud person myself
They do look sharp though.

They are sub par compared to headphones in the same price range. They are more of a fashion statement than anything else.

The $20 by headphones you can buy on Amazon sound just as good.

The Solo 2 headphones are miles ahead of the original Solos. They're not the best out there but they're not bad either.

I have a pair of the bluetooth studio beats and yes they look awesome but i'm very dissapointed in their performance. I had a pair of the original wireless never got distortion like i do when i turn the new ones up to max seems since apple took over they are not as good. I also had a pair of the solo 2 and they were ok. I have just bought my last pair of beats that i will ever buy with the wireless studios, IMO for 370.00 they suck. If they were priced at 150.00 id say they were a good value.

What would you turn any headphones up to max? You are just going to ruin your hearing.
