$14.99 for up to 6 family members makes it a little different and could put downward pricing pressure on the streaming market. Spotify is $9.99 + 50% discount on each additional account or 6 for $35. Does Google have a family plan?

Yeah, I think this price point could bring more buyers to the market. $30/year for an individual is pretty reasonable.

Rhapsody did it before all of them, like 14 yrs ago and is still in business. I remember people flipping out at the thought of not "owning" their music.

Go with Amazon music plus two day shipping plus books and movies for $49 a year and call it a day

Well, it is $49 dollars a year for students. However, Prime's selection sucks big time. If they ever fix that, I will definitely drop Spotify.

Agreed. But I love the reporting as if Apple is revolutionizing something on their own and from scratch.

I have Amazon Prime.

I do not like their music selection or the way it works. I use Google Play and love it.

How inferior is their catalogue? I think I can only remember one time they didn't have something I wanted. I guess Apple will have The Beatles?

I like to compare it to the 8 CDs for a penny club. There is plenty of music to listen, but there is quite a bit they don't offer. If you're older and not very interested in new music, purchasing a handful of greatest hits or compilation albums can cover a lot of what you're missing. If you're younger and need the latest music, you need a different service.
