Roku has by far the best interface and best design, but it doesn't have TCM (which I love) and it doesn't get apps nearly as fast as Fire TV does. She times it's more than a year later.

Chrome cast is awesome if you use Android devices but it has no remote. Now of you buy the MI Box or some other Android TV with a remote that could be the best of them all.

It's really kind of a toss up, they all have their pros and cons. Forget putting Kodi on a fire TV, just order a Q Box from China and get a better interface.

I've never used Apple TV but to me they always seemed way over priced.

If I had to pick one as a be all end all I'd probably pick an android box just because of the play store and I use Android devices, but if Roku had that I'd buy it over anything

I have roku, fire tv and chrome cast.

I like them all for different reasons. Roku has the best interface hands down, but you can't use kodi which sucks. The fire tv interface is fine but I have more glitches with apps than I care for. It gets old force stopping and clearing cache.

If you have no interest in kodi just go with roku.

I love kodi so fire tv is the winner for me.

We have tried several on your list, and we prefer the Apple TV. We now have 3 Apple TVs.

Not sure why anyone would buy an AppleTV these days. They don't do anything special for the price. We have a few Firesticks and Chromecasts. They each serve a purpose.

Chromecast is terrible. Apple TV is pretty good. And the 4th gen remote is awesome. Chromecast is good for Android devices but I'm slowly switching over to iOS.

not sure why anyone uses a chromecast, or an Appletv, well I know why people buy something that has a little apple on it.

Roku 3 or 4 is the way to go if you don't care about Kodi.
Firetv if you care about Kodi, or use Vue and want the nice guide that Roku doesnt' have, but i'm sure will get at some point.

I personally am not a big fan of the Firetv. The Roku is just so simple to use. It doesn't care about fancy shite, just want to make things easy on the user and it has the most content.

I have owned Chromecast, Apple TV and fire tv stick

I played around with a Roku4 at a friend's house and I am hooked.

My next purchase will be a roku4 premiere+ that I will sideload Kodi

I actually like my Fire TV stick but find the interface to be slow at times.

I have the Nvidia Shield running KODI and just now got the new Fire TV and put KODI on it.

TBH,It's a toss up as far as performance and interface goes between the two.

I paid $250 for the Shield and $80 for the Fire TV

Only difference is the Shield came with KODI downloaded already.

Fire TV stick
you need to check out the new Fire TV. The stick sucks major monkey balls compared to the tv box.

My roku 3 is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made

Our Fire TV just downloaded a firmware update yesterday that totally changed the interface. It's now hands down better than Roku's.

I like the firestick for Kodi.

I like Roku because of the interface and bigger remote.

Roku will be able to stream Xfinity content if you have Comcast/Xfinity - soon. Once that happens, I'll own stock in Roku
