anyway to turn the damn polarized screen off iphone 6

the update before last one caused the damn screen to be polarized. I have to wear RX polarized sunglasses year round so i cant read my damn phone screen now with my glasses on. Any advice appreciated.

Apple started using a physical polarizer on their screens with the iPhone 6. This ALLOWS you to see your screen from all angles while wearing polarized sunglasses. Maybe it's night shift that is counter acting the polarizer because that's the only screen related feature that was in Any update that I can remember. Try turning that off.

Swipe up and try turning the night shift thing on or off and see if that helps

The LG G4 had it. I could not turn my phone sideways with glasses on. The G5 works in any conditions.

iPhones have been able to turn both ways since probably the 4 while wearing polarized glasses, definitely a lot longer than the 6.
If you break your screen and get a third party replacement they will sometimes only be visible in one direction (vertical or horizontal). This happened to me a few years ago, now I only go to the apple store for broken screens.

you can buy an unpolarized screen.
