Just after a year the dirt bin on mine kept popping out while it ran, they sent a new one and that fixed the issue for about 3 months and now it is doing it again. I had to replace the batteries after 14 months, and now it is having a charging issue that they told me a firmware update might fix, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet because you can't do it via laptop without powered usb hub because the ports don't have enough juice according to their tech support.

have not had any problems with roomba 600 series fwiw. great for dog hair, although you do have to occasionally clean out brushes and stuff. my dog sheds like a beast tho

I bought a refurb from the last thread on here. I've had it a while, having the battery issue and I get a wheel stock error. I have not seen anything to fix that. I love it, could not believe the amount of stuff it picked up, but now it just irritates me.

Does anyone at least have experience with the model XV-21

Do a search. There are a couple threads here that discuss this bot vac.

I have one for over a year now and its been great for my needs. I did have the vision block error a couple months back and they sent me a new one no questions asked after sending them my receipt from amazon.

well worth the money IMO.

I went against everything I have ever said and let my XV-21 run today with the dog in the house.

I am about to slip out of the office and run home to check for streak marks.

Update:

This thing is so badass.

That is all.

ETA: my dog hasn't shite in the house since he was a pup. He is terrified of it though. Follows it around barking lol

Costco runs deals on neato botvacs for 299. It is the best available and quiet. Costco will also take returns on the neato without question.

Update #2: this thing is fantastic. Set the timer for it to run every other day. Get home from work and my bedroom (carpeted and really big) is completely cleaned. It goes under the bed, couch, and dressers. The dog hair issue is a thing of the past.

I got the firmware on my updated and it did nothing to fix the issues I have been having. i sent neato a message on Monday and haven't heard back from them, but mine has been out of commission for about 2 months now and even after replacing the batteries and updating the firmware.

It was awesome when running, I'm about to cash in that 3 year warranty I got on it from WalMart when I ordered it.

finally done with vacation and itching to throw some money away.

i dont see the amazon deal anymore but there's an authorized neato dealer on ebay that is selling these for $214 free shipping.

worth trying out?

Bump again. So I'm loving my neato except it can't handle my shag rug. Is there no setting to allow it to handle thicker rugs?

I came home and it was sitting in the middle of the rug...crying.. not moving..asking me to please remove the object in its path.

But that cleaning!! It hugs my pool tables legs and under counters and its crazy how much dirt and hair it sucks up.

Loving it!
