Anyone buy the "Certified Refurbished" Neato XV-21 vacuum off of Amazon?

I am about to pull the trigger on this thing and it has good reviews, but I figured I'd ask anyone here if they have bought the refurbished one? Does anyone at least have experience with the model XV-21?

This purchase is brought on by dog hair. Pure and simple.

That's a different model, but still looks like a helluva deal.
I was specifically hoping someone had bought a refurbished XV-21 and could tell me about it.

caterpillar, i'm also very interested.
$214 seems like a steal for a vacuum that deals with dog hair as well.

right? I have my finger on the trigger and just looking for another reason to pull it
I feel like this would improve quality of life in my house hold because constant vacuuming is the absolute pits.
Also can't wait to watch my dog flip out when he sees a roaming robot vacuum. That's like his worst nightmare.

There is a very large Neato/Roomba thread here somewhere.

We have a Roomba and it works really well. It gives Mrs. Perm more time for loving.

We've had an XV Signature for a year or so.
Our life is better in every way. Aside from a clean house and the wife not having to vacuum, it doesn't rain as much on weekends, the stock market's up, and my kids are all making straght A's. I owe it all to the Neato.
One of the best purchases ever. Doesn't matter which you get, just get one.

Pulled trigger.
Screw it.
I'll report back after this weekend and I get to test it out. Arrives Friday morning, thanks Prime!

I have had an XV-21 for a little over a year, it was better than expected for the first year. However, I would pay extra for the extended warranty if you get it. I got the 3 year warranty on mine.
Just after a year the dirt bin on mine kept popping out while it ran, they sent a new one and that fixed the issue for about 3 months and now it is doing it again. I had to replace the batteries after 14 months, and now it is having a charging issue that they told me a firmware update might fix, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet because you can't do it via laptop without powered usb hub because the ports don't have enough juice according to their tech support.

If this thing gives me 1 year of awesomeness, that alone is worth $215 to me.
If it makes it 3 years, hallefrickinglujah

keep in mind, those factory refurbs (this is the neato manufacturer site at amazon after all) will likely have all the latest part & newest firmware.

i love factory refurbs when it comes to electronics. it just means a human has actually plugged it in to make sure it works and run through a checklist of issues.

I did and it has stopped working less than 6 months after purchase.
It has a battery issue and would consistently get stuck due to hair in the rotation

from what i understand, they are relatively easy to fix on your own with tutorial guides and stuff.
