So you haven't canceled.
Wise choice. Get the amazon app on your phone, and next time you need something random just search for it, look for the prime logo and buy. Save yourself the time and hassle, and don't worry about the price. You said yourself that you don't give a damn about saving $2 on a pack of bandaids. So save the 2 minutes it takes to track them down at the store (or save an entire trip to the store altogether). Hell, subscribe to them and get a pack once a year without ever thinking about bandaids again, and save 15% on them.

you're going to end up making me decide this is worth keeping.

Maybe I'm trying to rationalize my decision to use it too.
So, I went back through my order history to see how it's working out for me. Over the last 6 months, I have spent a total of $1705 on about 40 orders. $585 of that was subscribe & save items that I would have typically bought at the grocery store, and the other $1120 was other items that I would have either made trips to specialty stores for or bought online. The $1120 was 9 orders for a total of 12 items, for which I paid a total of $50 in shipping (6 months of prime). I happily pay $5 per order in shipping (2 days at that) to save a trip to a store. Saves time and gas.
As for the $585 in household items via subscribe and save... anyone can do that without prime. I saved 15% on all of that, and shipping is free. Could I have gotten that stuff cheaper still at the store? Probably. But $585 is roughly 4 trips to the store for my family. That's at least 4 hours of our time that we've saved, not to mention the gas and mileage on the vehicle, and it cuts way down on the wife's impulse buys ( ). That shite just shows up in a big box at my house every month. Can't beat it.
