Yes it's not that big of a deal. I like my dash button but it would never influence what type of assistant I buy. The fact that Google will work more natively with google products is a much bigger deal than being able to order detergent by voice.

This is all in theory of course because I don't have a clue how great the Google home will work. Just stating your reasons for it obviously not matching up with the echo simply hold no water at this point.

Also the fact that dash buttons exist actually hurt your sight unseen argument, not help it. No one is going to potentially buy an assistant that doesn't work as well with their chromecast to do voice orders when they have the option to own a Google home plus a dash button.

I think I may hold off on Alexa. I have a fire TV and used it and I don't know if I'd use it just yet. I might buy a bunch of home automation stuff at Christmas and the Google home will be available then.

I own it. You own it. Amazon has proven its concept, worth and validity. Glad we agree.

I'm also glad you're gonna double down on, "It's not a big deal because it's just not a big deal." Coupling that beautifully definitive literal example of circular logic with, "Google Home is better because I like Google. Therefore it will be better," sort've just ends the discussion with me here.

Wait, I never said Google would be better. I have no idea. I said ordering mundane things through a voice assistant sight unseen is a hilarious argument over why amazon would be better. I'm not sure you really understand the discussion at all if you thought I was claiming Google home would be better. Makes me question your intelligence honestly.

I only guess that Google home will work better with other Google devices. I have no idea for sure since the product isn't out yet. But it's a legitimate assumption.
