LOL at Amazon getting everybody excited about Prime Day & then showing up like that clearance table at TJ Maxx.

My favorite thing about #PrimeDay is looking at what people are buying. There's a wait list for an electronic pencil sharpener. In 2015.

BTW, will we ever get an option to embed Twitter posts on this forum? Copying and pasting the posts removes all the formatting and takes the fun out of it.

Considering that this site lacks so many basic text formatting options, and image hotlinks actually expire, I'm guessing no.

I thought it was a completely over-hyped dud. Amazon wants to thank you for 20 years by offering shite you might find at any garage sale.

You people haven't been paying attention. Amazon has always had less than exciting Black Fridays, so why would Black Friday in July be different? Most Black Friday deals aren't that great to be honest, but when every store is doing it and you have weeks to scour the ads and prepare, you're able to find enough of the right deals to make it seem worth the trouble.

I guess I thought it was going to be something more, based on the amount of tv commercial spots touting it as a 20 year appreciation sale.

The deals they had were actually very good, they just didn't have them on enough stuff. Again, Black Friday seems worthwhile because it's every store doing it.

they code the forum for max efficiency/speed, so yeah it's unlikely. plus every time they experiment with embedding, it creates a security flaw

the best example was the like 3 days where we could embed youtube videos

How was that a security flaw? I just assumed it slowed things down too much.

They literally had sales on thousands of different items for 24 hours. How would it be possible for every single one of those thousands of items to be awesome? Were some shitty? Indeed. Were most items/sales less than stellar? Sure. Were there some great deals for hundreds of items of which a shite-load of people got stuff? Most definitely.

I think people who had hopes that everything would be discounted were idiotic in those hopes. I got a fire stick and thin antenna for less than $40 with free delivery. If they had a good vape pen on sale, my man cave would have been complete.

The whole website should have been marked down not just lightning deals

when CAD points out the same thing the rest of the world already realized about prime day sale, jimmies were rustled and CAD was told to STFU

You were completely right that entire day. I knew it wasn't going to be that good. But I still like Amazon

I like seeing deals across the board at stores.
