Why do so many people think they have the "rule change" that will fix soccer?

Sure there could be some tweaks like goal line tech and so on. However, it seems like if I added all of the rule changes this board has suggested, there may not be any actual rules left. The game is fine the way it is. Nothing major needs to be or will be changed.

There is always room for improvement.

I'm sure people were saying 20+ years ago that having replay in American football would be stupid. Look how wrong they are now.

As far as actual rules though, game is fine the way it is.

Completely agree
I like that there is a lack of a complex rule system that our other modern sports have.

On a related note, what you think of the water breaks?

I don't see why people hate penalty kicks.

Nor do people understand the complex process it would take for rules to be written or changed. The sport needs to use technology to its advantage, but I seriously doubt we would see wholescale rule changes in the sport for a long time.

I don't like replay... It slows a slow game down even more. I like the human error aspect to reffing games.

But i know i am in the minority on that one.

I wouldn't care if we had one thread for it. I just wouldn't ever click on it

This thing where we have different people suggesting the same shite over and over again needs to go

When human error can be corrected, it absolutely should be. if you disagree, you're wrong.

You know the NFL had instant replay 20 + years ago, right? Then they took it away because people thought the game would be better. Then they brought it back because they were wrong.

I really don't care one way or the other. It's the same for both teams.

Because some people only watch once every four years and don't know what the hell they're talking about

it would be great if they stickied a thread that said "all dumb ideas here" but most insert these ideas in other threads...

Didn't realize it was so black and white.

Why do umps call balls and strikes still? A computer would be much better. And why do they not have sensors in the bags yet?

Why is there not instant replay on every call on every sport?
why not replay fouls or no foul calls in nfl?

This is obviously such a flawed opinion and it is really funny that you are so absolutely sure about it.

Uh, I can think of one rule change that needs to happen.

Have H2H as a tie breaker over flipping a fricking coin.
