Agreed.

Germany and Italy are the two most consistent teams in the WC.

Is the pressure on a young Brazilian squad going to be too much?

I think Belgium could do very well. But as mentioned, everyone seems to be picking them which makes them not a surprise.

I think France does well. I think Iran could advance out of their group.

Man, I can´t think of much I absolutely wouldn´t do or pay, to see Spain defeat Brazil in the final with a Costa goal.

You could get your wish earlier than expected, if Spain stumbles into second in their group.

Man, I don´t see it. Even if they have an easy group and their first knockout match is against a patsy, I see them getting blasted the following match.

Ottmar can get blood out of a rock. I agree, this is a side which should do well.

Is this is a Spanish idiom? Because I sort of get what you mean but I'm not sure that translates. Either that, or I've never heard this one before in English and uh... carry on.

To answer the OP, I don't know enough about international teams besides the US, England, Germany, and Spain to really speculate. I wish I knew more about France, and I'd like to see them make a run since they're my #2 behind MURICA, but I'm not really convinced about the coach, nor the constant locker room issues. That said, Nasri not being there is probably for the best.

Yea, they could crap out. But that is what everyone expects them to do and they have been so bad for a while now. Perhaps they surprise.

in Europe they’re all calling them the surprise team from Europe.
If everyone's calling them a surprise team, then it won't be much of a surprise.

If by surprise you mean losing every match, sure.
