ricky johnson was easily the best player on backyard soccer. he had it all. vicki kawaguchi's deft touch, however, makes her a close contender. pablo with some speed on the wings to overcome his shite touch, kenny kawaguchi holding down the back line (sibling stat increase bitches!!!!!!), and dante robinson running train in goal and you WILL find yourself holding "The Astonishingly Shiny Cup of All Cups."

Never thought I'd see a mini-strategy guide for Backyard Soccer on here.

Started following EPL soccer at about the age of 17, it really started with Stevie G (which is why I'm a 'Pool fan to this day).

At backyard soccer. lamost forgot about that.
Reyna and Mcbride for sure.
Roberto Carlos was a huge inspiration as well as Maldini.
and of course, Keane for man Utd.
Was a defensive player growing up so had alot of respect for defenders (and Roberto gave me hope that even a defender can score lol)

i remember hearing about david beckham and michael owen in their first world cup. after watching i came out with the impression that michael owen was far cooler. i was pretty young then, so i guess you could say michael owen kick started my fandom didnt follow him too much after and dont really like england.
when i was "growing up" i didnt really have the luxury of following professional soccer, but once i started following again in high school i really liked michael ballack and thierry henry

Had a poster up of Colbi Jones and Ronaldo in my room. I liked Joe Max-Moore because he wore number 9 for the USA. I wanted John O'Brien to live up to the hype so bad.

Joe Max-Moore
Always thought Tab Ramos would be the face of American soccer. Still have his trading card somewhere. Need to try and trade it for a Joe Corona rookie card

I was completely oblivious to watching soccer as a child.. I did however have a Barry sanders poster/measuring thing on my door, the other two larger posters I remember were Jerry rice and grant hill (2/3 were from my birthplace and I guess my dad just like rice)
