ITs ironic given the 3-4 page long shouting matches he has gotten into around here before.

Or you know, the whole lawsuit that will likely find that the bonds were intended for the Dome. I'd love to link everything on the issue...but there is just too much internet to fit in one post.

You completely swung and missed. The senate passed a bill that the house did not. You ran with it and look stupid now. Own it.

Miami, ATL, LA and Minnesota are sure fire locks so yes we do know.

The other two already have the teams and stadiums ready to go.

So explain how STL is in front of them

The league already has 20 teams with another 4 coming in. Which makes the league already to big.

I didnt say they were just that by the time the next wave of expansion comes in 2019ish things may change. If St Louis has a stadium locked and ownership group willing are you saying that they wont be a serious contender for a franchise that could jump both those markets?

Still on the docket. Just wasn't included in the FY16 budget. Simply waits until next session. Still has work to do in House, but a majority of folks in Jeff City believe it passes when wording gets worked out. Politics come into play.

Miami isn't official yet. Still have to have a stadium deal...almost exact same position as STL minus the Becks clause. I think it is a Stadium race between the two with Sacramento lurking.

Stop moving goal posts...

He will extend the bonds later this year before the house reconvenes thats why there was a last ditch effort to stop in the courts but the common legal reality is that the courts are not there to legislate and that the suit is frivolous. There will be no political will to stop this on the house side regardless. The ironic thing about you talking about my lack of understanding about Missouri politics, other than your failure to understand how a bicameral legislature works, is that you clearly dont understand the St Louis voting power block in the state house.Look man,its clear you dont know enough about whats going on in this situation. I have followed this stuff religiously because it involves interests close to me.

Oh, I definitely don't underestimate the St. Louis voting bloc. I just know for a fact that Reps like Ron Hicks in St. Charles county are against building a stadium like the one proposed with state money. Speaker Diehl had obvious motives to keep the senate bill off the docket for the budget..not so much with Todd Richardson.

I did multiple clerkships in Jeff City. One of my parents was in both chambers. I am fairly certain I have more knowledge of Jeff City than you do.

Technically yes, but there are two competing ownership groups, so it is 99% that there will be one in Minny. Just depends on which groups wins the bid as to where/which stadium is used.

You clearly dont understand the dynamics of the St Louis voting block.

Your fall back onto an appeal to authority logical fallacy is tiring man. Your words and thoughts so far are what counts and they have not been correct or well founded.

I though i remember reading that there was an issue with public funding or something, I could be wrong. I will have to do some reading/research.

Would an MLS team do well in NOLA? I'd love to have one, but I just can't see the demand being there.

ETA: at least, in the next 10 years. As soccer grows in popularity in America, I'm sure a team in NOLA would be viable. Just questioning the short term.

yes it would. don't confuse the Jesters with actual professional soccer. they're a glorified high school team.

the stadium would be better than Pan Am, the games would be in the paper, and the team might win more often

This is my feelings about the Jesters, why pay money to go to games when you can play or against some of the guys in a local adult league.
