Well I guess we'll see how Mike Ashley feels about it in the next week or so. I could go either way but I always err on the side of keeping just because it's so ridiculous how these clubs change managers at the drop of a hat. If Ashley wants to really open the pocketbook and go get Rafa or something then great but otherwise I don't like change just for change's sake.

ETA getting a frenchie to manage all these french players is a no brainer if you decide to make a change.

In fairness we did have a ton of injuries and not a lot of depth behind them.

I'm not saying the players they bought are bad by any stretch, but volume-buying players just because they are on the clearance rack is a terrible transfer policy.

Absolutely, but there isn't any reason why they shouldn't be tactically disciplined. It's not like Pardew is attempting to revolutionize the game. It's just that he's tactically naive, and can't keep up with the modern game.

I just don't think Ashley has the foresight to bring in a French manager.

I think that would be a great idea but we'll see.

The point is there's no reason NUFC shouldn't be in the top 7 at worst and I'm betting we get things straightened out after this scare.

Newcastle is simply nowhere near a top 7 team. They don't have a top 7 squad.

He's not naive, he's brutally stubborn and ignorant. Seriously. The guy is a tactical retard. And he doesn't learn from his mistakes.

Well #1 I was talking in general terms based on what the club has going for it relative to other sides. You can't tell me with a straight face that a guy like David Moyes doesn't do more at Newcastle than he did at Everton assuming he has the same freedom.

#2 it was a top 7 club just last season.

Talent-wise, I think they could with a couple of good purchases. However, I just don't think this team is put together well. Sometimes tactics are more important than talent.

That's a fair criticism. We'll see what happens in terms of coaching changes, be it Pardew or somewhere down the line.

I think the potential is definitely there. Perhaps Pardew or someone else can get them to click. They definitely need a physical striker up top.

Pardew should go for Carroll, because he's essentially been a long ball manager his career...

I don't think they hold on to Colo, Cabaye or Ben Arfa... If they go for Carroll, they may be best served to cash in on Cisse... Don't think those two could play together...

Crazy or Beast or anyone who is knowledgeable- How can any manager at Newcastle get an entirely French team to adapt to the English style while keeping their tactical and technical acumen?
