USA-Ghana Matchup

The pipedream no longer exists, Australia didn't pull it off.
Ghana, better matchup than Serbia?
Not so sure. I don't believe they play so "innocently" as today, and they are a loaded and habitually fearless side.
In contrast with Serbia, who are so damn unpredictable that we could have either blown them out (good, give us even more WC stature and allure), or have it done to us as well.
I prefer Ghana.

Ghana can't score. We should win and our quarterfinal would be the winner of Uruguay and Korea, another very winnable game. This has been and will continue to be a fun ride.

I prefer Ghana as well, simply because I'm hoping the guys who played 4 years ago will be playing with a chip on their shoulder and out for revenge. Their hatred for Ghana should help to motivate the new guys on the team that missed out in 06.

Prefer Ghana. I think they are one of the weaker sides to advance. On paper we should win this one, but you know how that goes....

I said this from day 1....if we win the group we have a very winable road to the semis. On paper we should be able to take every side until then. Its just a matter of seeing if we live up to the hype finally.

I prefer the Ghana matchup over Serbia. We have always struggled against eastern european and former Soviet Bloc teams for whatever reason. We should be able to beat Ghana if the refs dont continue to hose us.
