He won one game. Against the worst team in the group.

Made it out of the group of death... while Spain, Italy, England, etc all were eliminated. Just went toe to toe with 1 of the best teams in the world in Belgium and it was a battle.

And we did that while not having as much talent as most of the teams in the World Cup. Look at our roster compared to the other teams. We overachieved and did something that nobody really thought we could do, which is advance out of the Group of Death. And we did that WITHOUT 1 of our best players in Jozy. And Fab went down today in the 30s.

Our talent has been improving and getting better and it still is. That was seen with the performances Yedlin gave in this WC and how Julian Green looked today. And they are 19 and 20 years old. And gained some massive experience on the biggest stage. And both impressed out there.

Why would we get rid of Jurgen? We exceeded everyones expectations and had some stretches where we played some great soccer. We had a great showing in this tourney and gained a lot of respect from everyone else.

So he picked this team correct?

Yes, he picked the best players he could get. I don't know what you are trolling for. You made a comment that these guys couldn't pass and that is a reflection on Jurgen. I'm telling you that there aren't a ton of extremely skilled players at his Arsenal. Belgium had a team of EPL all-stars and Jurgen's team took them to the brink.

If the fundamental flaws that happened in the world cup happened in other sports people would be calling for his head.

That's because the US tends to be an elite country in other sports. In soccer, we're still not top 10 in talent. Hell, we're probably not top 15 in talent. We have played hard enough to get to the round of 16 though.

To make a comparison that hits home for me, the USA is akin to Vanderbilt football and what, even for the giant douche he is, James Franklin did to change the culture of Vanderbilt football. Jurgen is trying to change the culture of soccer in America and how we develop talent. It will take time. The improvement is already showing, so there is no reason to fire Klinsmann.

This. Would you blame coach K if LeBron and co. went out and played like shite even if they were put in position to succeed by the coach?

I was unaware how much lack of talent he had to choose from. It would be like Coach K picking bench players I guess.

That's true. And just like coach K, Klinsmann has ZERO affect on the development of the US pool right now. He has to take what he's got and tactically give them their best shot to win.

If he stays with the team for another 8-10 years then maybe he will be able to bring up some of the younger players in the pool and youth academies and then you will see a US team that has the technical ability of the European nations.

So why be critical of a coach in a sport you know nothing about?

This trolling POS does not deserve actual answers. He is trying to validate his existance by putting down a sport he doesn't have the capability of understanding .

Well I asked a question. Then everyone answers one way and I wanted to know why even when the team looked horrid. So go back to bashing officials and the clock stoppage thingy.

Most of you soccer board guys seem like snobs. Like you are better than everyone else. How about answering a question before bashing a person. That's probably why people think soccer is ghey. Fans like you.

Nope, just calling you out. I answered your questions legitimately, then you came back with more trolling. If you wanted real answers, you'd accept a lot of the answers provided to you instead of whining.
