Not that it matters, but "thigh injury" is a pretty vague diagnosis. They were very specific about the injuries suffered by Xhaka and Schulz. Jurgen claims he came off because he was worried of reinjury because of some light tightness, which didn't seem to impact his ability to sprint up and down the pitch. He may be in doubt to play at the weekend, but nothing is confirmed.

He didn't tell Jurgen he was injured, though. He came off because he felt tightness and was afraid of reinjury. This narrative that a player came to Jurgen injured and was called a liar is absurd. The truth is that Fabian Johnson was likely exhausted and couldn't take 120 minutes in the heat. He's struggled with it before. He comes off, shite starts to go crazy, and suddenly, he's injured.

It's very possible that he is injured, but I've never seen anyone with a significant "thigh injury" or a pulled hamstring or anything of that nature able to continue to continue to sprint and change pace well. I know we may not have the best medical care, but I'm pretty sure than a US player with a potential injury would be checked and have the results documented.

Jurgen's an egotistical guy, but this story is just fricking ridiculous. There has to be another side of the story outside of Jurgen's quitter story and Fabian's fear of reinjury story that fills in the missing pieces. He's not some clutch source, but Twellman had to have had a reason to even bring up Fab claiming injury or exaggerating when that wasn't really the case. Where the hell did that even come from?

Like I've said multiple times, it's likely that they're both responsible in some manner for the way it imploded the way it did.

you have to successfully string together passes before you can attempt shots

Yep. You also have to make intelligent runs to give your teammates something to pass to (other than Wood nobody else really stands out as doing this). You also have to have something slightly better than a donkey touch in the final third to maintain possession to get a shot off. You also have to have some semblance of an identity of what your style and tempo is going to be so everyone is on the same page - something we have not had in quite a while.
