Gio should be in the 10 IMO. I think it’s obvious. I’d you want to argue that the MMA midfield has to be on the field the Gio has to start. The point is a fit Gio has to be on the field. Greggg couldn’t figure that out.

The other point is his tactics are shite. LVG ran circles around him. He can’t get a 9 involved to save his life.

It’s multiple things. Why are you such as GGG fan? What has he done to retain his job?

And no one is arguing for Greggggggg to get the job, or that his tactics and formations were bad. No one on this board wants him back.

I are they should both be on the field but if my 2 choices are Gio or Weah then I pick Gio. Weah is speed down the wing. It’s special. But creativity holds more value if it’s one or the other.

But Gregg started Gio a lot.

So who sits if Gio is in the midfield and will you complain if that person is on the bench and we still lose a match.

Believe it or not, we're at a point where some talented young players are going to have to sit the bench because there are only XI spots on the pitch.

inB4 BUT THE MLS FAVORITES!!!!

I already said it. After watching Leeds all year it’s McKennie or Musah. If you want to play the MMA then he starts over Weah.

And Gregg did that.

Again, Gregg is not nor ever was my first choice, but the arguments some people make against him are just flat out wrong.

When? He didn’t in the WC. He still had shite tactics. The tactics tonight were worlds ahead of GGG. BJ is a better option.

*sigh* ok guy, just totally ignore the context.

Anyway, this is pointless, be a miserable bitch if you want. I'm going to enjoy the fact that we beat the shite out of Mexico today.

I’m the miserable bitch? You are the one defending GGG. Gio was fit. His parents admitted it. Gregg has all but admitted it. Why are you so dug in?

Don’t start arguments you can’t finish. GGG has no business being the HC of the USMNT. The fact you are even arguing it’s is hilarious.

Good response man. Appreciate the “debate”.

And yeah I am fricking pissed. Because I know as a federation we can do better. We deserve better. I’ve watched every competitive match of the USMNT for the last decade. I know with GGG we have a ceiling. 2026 is the ultimate competition. Having a failure who isn’t good enough isn’t an option. All USMNT fans should be outraged. GGG isn’t good enough. His interims interim set up the same players better than he ever did. That should be the most damming thing.

We got out of the group in spite of GGG not because of him. The fact you can’t admit that means you have shouldn’t even be arguing an opinion.

I mean how do you want me to respond to backing up your point with "Danielle and Claudio said so"?

I mean c'mon man, you're letting your hate for the Gregg blind you to where you are aligning yourself with two shitty people as the beacon of truth.

So let me throw this at you. From the first match post-COVID in 2020 leading all the way up to the World Cup, Gregg started Gio in every match when he was healthy. Why, in your opinion, do you think he stopped playing him if it's a reason other than health?

I mean Gregg's tactics outplayed Southgate, which got us out of the group, so this isn't right at all.

Because he was being a bitch in training. Instead of being a coach and fixing the problem he set off a nuke in the locker room.

All of this is also secondary to his tactics which aren’t good enough.

Because GGG wasn’t going to play him in the WC when everyone knew he was one of the best 11.

We outplayed a team that was more talented than us at every position. It was a good tactical performance by the USMNT. The fact that you can't even admit that is so sad, because it shows that you actively want to be miserable.

...because they asked Gio to take a fitness test and he refused to do it because he was *gasp* not fully fit.

Go to sleep.

The stats say through the whole match we were never above 20% win probability.

GGG has better tactics than Southgate??? Hahahah you should lose your posting rights.
