I pulled up the team for tonight
Reynolds, Tolkin, Wiley, Cremaschi, Busio, Booth, and Tessman are there.
I understand why Scally, Lund, Cardoso, and Ferreira aren’t here but that doesn’t apply to next July.
Hope Slonina is our keeper.

Also I’m dreaming of Adams and Maloney in a double 6’s 4-2-3-1 with ARob and CP on the left and Weah and Dest being interchangeable on the right with Balo coming back to the ball and Gio pulling the stings. Making me hard.
And Maloney because we need 2 destroyers in the middle because the other 6 players I mentioned won’t do much defending. Westin and Musah don’t really fit in that roles. Maybe Musah but definitely not Weston.

I would only be down for that in matches when we know we’d be outclassed if we tried to play straight up with them and just hope we can steal a goal on the break in the first 60 minutes.
Otherwise, Adams and Maloney paired together just seems too negative in build up. I really need Musah to get right again, because when he’s on his game, he gives you the best of both worlds with his ability to keep the ball and create mismatches in the midfield with his dribbling.

I just finished watching it. It was definitely a 4-2-3-1 in the first half. It was a 4-3-3 after half when Wes came on.
On top of you and I telling him that and Fotmob and Google ESPN also had it as a 4-2-3-1. But we are idiots according to Brotski.

Dude you are so triggered

You can't admit you are wrong.

Neither can you, considering you always praise the players when we do something good, but always shite on Gregg when we do something bad.
Wes and Gio had the same average positioning, with Wes maybe a tad bit more withdrawn, but that was likely more to do with Ghana having more possession in the half. Whether you want to say it was a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 (I say it was more 4-3-3), we didn't change formations/tactics from half to half, just players.

For being a douche and fricking him in the World Cup
Imagine being 19 and selected for the World Cup roster
Imagine coming into camp with an injury and rightfully being told we will be managing your minutes accordingly
Imagine then refusing to do any conditioning, acting like an arse in training to where Tyler Adams wanted to kick your arse and the coaching staff almost sent you home.
Imagine refusing to allow the medical staff to assess said injury.
Imagine your coach still publicly covering for you but then immediately contradicting the guy you don’t even realize is trying to help you.
Douche at the WC is right

How serious do you think the team for Paris will be?
Probably not as serious as we would like it to be. Several of the full USMNT players don’t expect to be released, although they would still like to participate. Plus the 2024 copa america will feature out full team so it’s a tough ask for those guys to play a second tournament. No obligation from clubs to release since it’s not a FIFA mandated thing. I think the U23 team currently beating Japan 4-1 will be closer to what we see.

I don't disagree. I just worry with Gio at the 10 in a 4-2-3-1 we would get over run in the midfield with Adams and Musah. But Musah has been pretty solid as a 6 the few times he has done it.
I love McKennie but I don't see how he fits in this team in a 4-2-3-1 which seems to be the formation that fits the rest of our best players.

Just now seeing some of the highlights, what led to the indirect goal?
Posted on 10/18/23 at 2:29 pm to MOT
TV may have had a better angle on what actually happened versus my view behind the goal but it was a minor skirmish for the ball that ended up with a Ghana player kind of just sitting on the ball and not moving.

Weah and Dest being interchangeable on the right
Right now, we aren't winning any big games unless both of them are playing. They aren't interchangeable, they're indispensable.
*As long as Dest is on the right, not the left but let's hope Jedi stays healthy.
