FYI - hendo in the last 12 or so minutes of the watford game completed about 20% of his passes. That's as the CDM when we should be trying to retain possession and see out a lead. That's abysmal.

He's been garbage for about two seasons. Just really not up for it at this level.

Good player for a mid table side like when he came into our team but not up to running the mid field of a top 4 team these days.

Didn't see this mentioned but Coutinho is walking back his transfer request
This is from a Brazilian soccer twitter account- Selecao Brasileira
ESTADÃO:

#Coutinho's entourage confirms he never had the will to not play for Liverpool but had to follow his representatives instructions.

Fire the reps.
Donate 2 weeks salary to a local charity.
Apologize for being a count and sending in a transfer request a day before the season.
Put 2 in the back of the net vs Arsenal.

Be as close to 2014 Suarez as you can be. I know he is not going to score like that but as a playmaker attacking behind the Big Three. The funny thing is if we sign VVD and maybe one more attacker or mid with AL coming back at some point we could really have an exciting year and he might actually stay a little while longer. I'm telling you we are close but HAVE to get VVD to be a leader and a top flight talent back there. TAA and Robertson have me thinking we might not be terrible back there with that signing.

It's pretty much what you would think happened... Barca (plus his greedy agent) told him this was the route to go... I'm sure he wanted the move, but that never playing for LFC stuff was garbage... He definitely has to be accountable for going along with it..

I mean did you see the pics of his whole freaking family and friends in the full LFC kits this summer back in Brazil.. before Barca got in his head late..

It's business.. get back match fit and play like we know you can and all is well..

I don't play Cou tomorrow, but if his head is on right, and assuming his back now miraculously clears up, I think I'd put him on the bench for Arsenal and bring him on with about 30 left.

Ok garbage may have been harsh but he should not be as inconsistent as he has been. Sure, maybe he's injured, all the more reason to bring in someone else.

He's in the prime of his career and should be running games. He will one game if the rest of the team's energy is right but if it's not, he seems to follow the morale lead and play the same way.

Not saying sell him or anything, just bring in someone else, who is more up for it every single game.

I'd be fine selling him. Inconsistent, injury prone, doesn't do anything particularly well. If we're striving to be a top 4 regular or league champion then I don't see how we can be content with a west ham/southampton/ stoke city level player at arguably the most important position on the pitch. He just fricks up a lot

He's really learning a new position... before he got hurt, he did well IMO... Did he excel? was he exceptional? No... but he was steady back there...

I think we could upgrade, but I'd keep him in the squad for sure.. He's a good, versatile all around midfielder..

According to this we have a deal in place with Madrid to bring in Kovacic. What do you guys think?

A guy of his experience on a top level team shouldn't have THAT big of a learning curve going from box to box to DM.

I may be expecting to much but I agree with the post above's assessment.

No reason to be experimenting with him. Fine with keeping him in the squad, we just need someone more reliable.

Would take Kovacic all day. Still need a CB and when the heck is Ings back? Ever?

yeah, the only time he's really impressed me was that stinger he hit last season. maybe i'm overlooking him cause he's not flashy, but he just doesn't impress me at all.
