I think he's a good looking talent, but he hasn't even scored an EPL goal yet (unless I'm forgetting something)... I'd like to see a lot more from him...
If we can get ~£100mm for Coutinho... I hope we are reinvesting all of it in someone like Belotti or Icardi (pipe dream)..

One of the things I love and hate about Klopp is his idealism...
At times I wish he was more pragmatic like Mourinho... this is broken, I am going to fix it by buying the best available...

I guess one silver lining is no matter how bad we feel... just one look across Stanley Park and you realize it could be worse.. at least we're not in the relegation zone!!

Spurs are obviously class but jeez we looked awful. Obviously the two early goals set the tone for the game and it was always gonna be tough to come back from that against them with how they’re set up

The difference it seems is that where Rodgers would have made excuses and used buzzwords like “unlucky” or “unfortunate”, Klopp helps nothing back today in his blunt assessment of the fdefending.

Good lord that had to be the worst performance I've ever seen by a player in my lifetime. Such a shame after the momentum established by the United and Maribor games. Thought we had turned a corner.
I think it hinges on January. Klopp thought he could make due with what he had but this has proven its not possible (along with the entire season really). If he doesn't buy a CB in January now you have to question whether he is the right manager for the job.

This is depressing. Usually this thread would be jumping right now. This is what happens when you do not address your weak spots in the summer. We better hope we get VVD in January, I know he would not fix all our problems but it sure would be a start.

Not surprisingly I'm picking a 1-1 draw this weekend.
No doubt in my mind we'll concede a goal that makes all of us shake our heads.
I don't know if we'll ever get VVD - but I don't care about that because we have no control over what SHampton will do - but there are literally dozens to hundreds of better CBs than Lovren at this point. Buy any one or two of them.
ETA - we have played the hardest schedule to this point. If we can rip off a good run of form and win a lot of the next group of games, we'll be in a good position. Chelsea is the only good side we play from now until Arsenal right before Xmas.

We need a very strong run of form between now and Christmas to get us back into the race for top 4. We need wins. A long streak of league wins. Not draws.
