Hopefully that means we are signing someone new. Really really want VVD and Draxler.

Why the frick are we selling Gabriel? You know some shits going to happen and some dude who shouldn't be playing cb, will be playing cb.

I know we need to get some people off the books, but geez. This guy has serious potential Imo. Plus, metrtesacker is gone after this season and not sure how much kosc has left in the tank. He himself has delt with injuries over his career.

Yeah.. I always pictured Gabriel to be our replacement for Kos.. absolutely frickin sucks that he's gone. He was really coming into his own, especially since he had started to understand a little bit of English.
Damnit, strong fiery Brazilian CBs should be something you kill for. Not let walk out for £10M

The Deportivo La Coruna manager confirmed that Lucas will be heading back there sometime in the next week.

Inter Milan are trying to get Shkodran Mustafi on loan from Arsenal, according to Sky sources.

Arsenal have rejected their approach, but Inter are likely to go back in with a bid for a permanent transfer.

It is thought Arsenal want to get back most of the money they paid for him last year which was £35million.
If this is true, they better have a big CB purchase lined up. Gabriel is already out of the door, Mertesacker will retire next season, it seems Chambers may be loaned/sold, and now possibly Mustafi? Kos isn't getting any younger. Maybe they go for Kostas Manolas or Kalidou Koulibaly.

I'm having a tough time buying the idea that we would sell Mustafi, especially if Chambers goes. It just doesn't make any sense. One minute we are taking a stand to turn down $70 mil (or whatever may have been offered) for Sanchez to try to win this season at all costs, then we sell one of our top 3 CBs a year after buying him?

So, at one point, we had these true CBs: Kos, Per, Mustafi, Holding, Gabriel, and Chambers. Maybe having a full 2 deep lineup for the 3 CB positions is a bit too much, especially with Monreal and Kolasinac being so versatile. But I can't imagine a scenario where we cut our true CBs in half even if there is a plan to buy one.

No way we give up on Mustafi after one season. Especially since he was pretty good up until he picked up an injury and the team went full meltdown. He's still young for a CB and showed great potential last year.

I wonder if Elneny at CB was more than just to help him develop a forward passing game.

Stoke is in to it, but we are clearly the more talented side.

RBs that don't defend are terribly frustrating

Two weeks in a row we probably should have been awarded a penalty and weren't.

We could have had 2 pks this match. The handball and the Diouf challenge on Hector.

What a terrible start to the 2nd half. More typical Arsenal, lose the ball far too easily, then the defenders don't close down the man with the ball, and don't track the runner well enough.

Time to get your offensive subs ready Wenger.

I'm not sure that last one was, the foul on Bellerin definitely was, for me at least.

Ozil slightly better this match than last, Xhaka not so great. Offensively obviously it's tough to break through a side with 9 men constantly behind the ball defending.

I'm still infuriated with Arsenal's defending.
