OK, the season has snuck up on us quite quickly. Let's use this thread to see who's returning and if we need to replace anyone. Please state your intentions here.

Sure thing. Not sure if Vick has a wait list somewhere already or not...but I'll add a wait list to the OP. The hope was always to get enough players that we would have 2 leagues with promotion and relegation.

It would be cool to try and set an hour time slot that everyone could be at (I realize that could be hard, but an hour should be doable) and knock out as much as we can in that hour, then move to the 6 hours per pick limit.

Setting up hourly slots makes it kind of difficult in my experience. Giving a player a window makes it a bit easier. And, of course, once an owner picks, the window resets on the next guy. I don't think it's asking too much to have the owners check in every couple of hours just to see where we are....especially with smartphones so prevalent.

I just meant that we set a time, say Sunday evening at 7:00, and everyone shows up and we just get through as many picks as we can in that one hour... And we can continue on as long as everyone is still in the thread, but we would have at least an hour to get through the first 3-4 rounds or so. Just a little jumpstart.

It's our fantasy EPL league.....4th season coming up. 1st season there were 2 leagues and neither made it the distance. In 2013-14 we had better results as was the same last season. The names listed in the OP are the managers as of the end of last season (in order of finish).

As I stated before, the goal is to have 2 healthy leagues each season with promotion/relegation between them.

Ah I see. Well, I mean, isn't that the same as just saying, the draft starts at X time and hoping everyone is there? I have no problem doing something like that....but with 10 people it's pretty hard to find a time that works for every single person.

Yea pretty much like a live draft that only last an hour and then we finish the rest as it has been. Everyone just needs to commit an hour, basically. Obviously the past way has worked... As I said, I'm fine either way. Just throwing the idea out there.

I like any idea that gets it done faster....especially with how close we are to the season.

Well... I'm pretty flexible in the evenings and nights. Once we get the owners confirmed, we could try and set a time. If we can't, no big deal, but I think we could find a time to knock it out.

Agreed. Nights are best for me as well once the kids are in bed.

I can guarantee I won't be having another baby during the year and should be able to respond quickly.
For the draft - I think the window works best as it promotes a regular checking. I agree that it's hard to set specific times, but I'm game to try to get those bursts of picks in.
