GC, I thought Leon Osman retired?

frick, NOW you tell me. He's still on the BPL fantasy page....so no idea.

ETA: He's also listed on the squad per the team's website.

Just found this online:

Everton 1-1 FC Porto: Leon Osman testimonial ends in draw

Is a testimonial game a send off for retirement? Guess so. Well you can replace his arse in the transfer window this week.

Sorry, I just looked over the picks then when I updated everything. Fortunately, it was the 12th or 13th round and you can get a new player in a couple days if we finish before Friday.

Based off of what I'm reading, he didn't retire

LINK

quote:

While several of his peers were like a shot of vodka – a quick, intense buzz that soon disappeared – Osman has now played more Premier League matches for the Blues than anyone else.

Retirement isn’t even close to be mentioned for him either so in the coming seasons, Osman now has the chance to cement his position in Everton’s record books.

quote:

Given the delayed start to his senior career, Osman is in no rush to hang up his boots.

The temples might be turning a more distinguished grey but physically the midfielder has shown no signs of slowing down.

Osman was the only player to feature in every Everton game last season and he hopes to play a significant part in the forthcoming campaign.

He was a very nice consistent option for me last year. Good pick.

I think Tigerstark is OTC.

Damn.

Smalling was my pick.

And you guys continue to pick the 1-2 hour waking periods of the entire day I can't post to make it my turn

Anyways....since its can't be smalling, let it be....

Phil Jones - DEF ManU

Fantasy board? Guess I'll have to add that one to my rotation.

If I may ask... why?

They'll just flood the thread with anti-soccer stuff as usual.

Vick - hate to say it, but I think you'll need to keep control of the spreadsheet if we're going to the fantasy board.

I don't know the fantasy board at all, but if its anything like most of the other boards we're likely to have "F@G" or something written for every players name.

Yeah, chicken, this is composed of all soccer board regulars and would prefer to keep it here. We are a persecuted group and this is our sanctuary. Throwing us into gen pop on the fantasy board would just be barbaric.

Oh. It will honestly get drowned out with all the fantasy football and it needs to stay on the first page.

Can we at least finish the draft on this board? We would need a stickied thread like last year. This league in its third year on here, and it has never caused an issue.

I understand why you would move it, but this runs differently than any other fantasy sports league because we have no site to do it on.

I will the lock the spreadsheet then if it gets moved, but I am sure the fantasy board will be fine. It is the only other board on here that I check pretty frequently and there usually no issues, so it will be fine, but it is an inconvience I guess.

I generally only even check this board unless it's a quick scan of movie/tv or games to see what's new
