That swagger copter quote makes me LOL every time. We seriously need to get SCH to put a plaque memorializing that quote on Shite Hart Lane. Set up the gofundme account.

But this needs to be ingrained time immemorial.

For as bad as it was yesterday, Dembele and his eye stab and Dyer's tackles on Hazard were the only things that I took as too far over the line during the game. Unless Lamela is the smoothest foot stomp-er on the planet I am not buying that he tried to crush Fabregas's hand; and all the other tackles were just as bad as Chelsea's, especially in the first half from Chelsea. Spurs clearly lost their cool in the second half as their season slipped away from them and the game got more and more out of hand. But Clattenburg didn't do that game any favors by not pulling cards out earlier and then making the decision to send someone off.
It was a shitty game by everyone involved, outside of two of the goals.

Intentionally stepping on a players hand. Card. Every fricking time. If you so much as even question thats a card then you know nothing at all. If the linesmen or center official would have seen that live, it could have been a straight red.
the tackle on hazard is a straight red in any game with the tempers flaring like that.
Ivanovic tackle was straight red
Studs up tackle on Fabregas was straight red in a lot of games
Eye gouge should be straight red
Last night was a disgrace to the game. and it was 80/20 Spurs who were the POS

No. Hard fouls and a bit of fisticuffs in a game that promised to have hard fouls and potentially fisticuffs? Shudder the thought that a passionate soccer match could take place on the field instead of in the stands.
Apologies if this sounds a little biased in favor Spurs, but I watched during a replay after reading all of the comments. Anyone that thinks Chelsea is entirely innocent was watching the game through blue tinted glasses.
Hard fouls are a part of the game, fisticuffs aren't, and most of the fights started with a Spurs hard foul and a Chelsea push.
Big exception to that was the Lamela hand "walk". If it was a "stomp" Fabregas wouldn't have been able to continue. But it looked like there was plenty of intent, and Lamela should have been tossed. He should be serving a big fine/suspension.
The Spurs hard fouls were more football tackling that gets yellows than studs-up, feet-first leg wounders that get called for reds, especially near the end of the game.
Extra curricular activities in the tunnel after the match need to result in action too.
So no, I don't think it deserves a point docking, even if it was more violent than the OP's video. That was one of the better matches we've seen this year and showed more passion among players than fans show during organized displays.

Well considering they did see it, and it was in the match report apparently it is not a card every time.

I said that Dier should have been sent off. It was clear Dier wasn't pleased with Hazard and was trying to send a message.

Are you referring to a tackle on Ivanovic or a tackle Ivanovic made on someone? Ivanovic should have gotten a yellow in the first half and would have been given his second on the tackle he got carded for

I don't recall exactly which tackle you are referring to. The only tackle I remember thinking should have been a straight red was Dier's on Hazard.

Yea, and he will get banned for the rest of the season

It was a disgrace, but I disagree about the 80/20 part. Taking out the Dembele and Dier incidents, I thought it was pretty aggressive on both sides of the ball with kickouts after tackles, purposeful tackles on the player, elbows and grappling on every contested ball. It was a rivalry game that had a lot riding on it for Spurs. Chelsea was heated due to their ability to close Spurs' season on a sour note, which they accomplished.

Spurs fans throwing coins after the Chelsea goal.

Chelsea had probably two poor tackles that deserved yellow cards (Ivan).
Walker kicked out at Pedro got away with it and picked up a yellow later in the game.
Dier, after somehow not getting sent off for that disgraceful challenge of Hazard, had an equally bad tackle on Cesc minutes later and got away with it again.
Rose had a bad tackle in the first half, got into with Willian, and shoved Guus down.
Lamela had a bad two footed challenge on Cesc and then stepped on his hand.
Vertonghen pulled Costa's shirt down and raked his neck/back completely intentionally.
Dembele stuck his fingers in Costa's eyes after getting into it with Mikel earlier in the game.
Tottenham straight up thugged

Both Dier tackles should have been straight reds and are not normal hard tackles in football. If anything Spurs looked like a sunday league team out there who didn't get their way.
