Before you say I'm crazy, a precedent has been set in the past.

LINK

quote:

On 20 October 1990, Manchester United Football Club faced Arsenal Football Club in a Football League First Division fixture at Old Trafford, during the 1990–91 season. Arsenal won by a single goal, but the game was best remembered for a brawl between both teams. The Football Association (FA) took the unprecedented step of deducting league points from the two clubs

Video from that day

Did you watch the video?

Last night was pretty much the same thing.

Youtube is blocked at my office unfortunately, I'll have to pull up on my phone later. I saw something briefly last night about all the cards but didn't get the full story.

Something should be done. Dier, Dembele, Lamela, and probably Rose shouldn't play again this season.

Nah. Not sure there is precedent for docking points even for that thuggery. Spurs will get slapped with a big fine for multiple offenses of 6 bookings or more. Also, both sides likely to be charged with failure to control players (would be 2nd offense for Spurs, 4th for Chelsea).

I know money is nothing, but again not really precedent for points docking.

I'm sure Dembélé will be done for the year. Lamela will escape since it appears Clattenburg saw the incident and it was in the match report.

Not gonna happen. They are getting blasted pretty good and there will be some retroactive bans forthcoming. Good enough for me.

Chelsea showed unbelievable composure and restraint last night.

You're probably right but what a completely absurd rule.

Composure more likely that they were taking sadistic pleasure in denying Spuds a title.
