Just curious as to some of yall thoughts on this guy. I know nothing about him but what I have read. Young so Id imagine some potential

He has showed promise in his last few call ups.

Similar player to Besler, IMO. On the ground, distributor type of CB.

He's not a complete body of work yet - but I'd expect to see him and Yarbrough start against Haiti for cap-tying purposes.

I could see both being replaced for the knockout stage.

Would be surprised to see him make it, since jurgy doesnt seem to be very impressed. Hes also been pretty bland this year compared to sasha and benny.

You can lump him in with Feilhaber, Nguyen and Davies as "probably nots" BECAUSE EUROPE.
Not a fan of Nguyen. I hope he's never called up again.

Are you basing that on his national team performances or Revs matches? He's brilliant with New England.

Maybe I'm watching the wrong matches. He's been poor in every match I've seen him in.

Nguyen hasn't played well this year, but it's early.

This last year, Benny's been playing the best soccer of his life. He's been one of the best in MLS this season, and 100% should be called up. He won't be, but he should.

There's always that chance if he's eligible.

Won't he be with the U20s, if he's eligible?

Are the two tournaments at the same time? I don't know. If so, then he will most likely be with the U20s.

I think the U20WC is in June.

If he files for his one-time switch and participates in a youth tournament, he's cap-tied, right?

This is what i assumed, since the u20 WC is fifa sanctioned. I guess with the switch, being cap tied is kinda redundant anyway.

And its at the end of june, so if they advance itll bleed over into the GC in early July.

Would be interesting to know if a player can be pulled from one tourney to play in another.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think youth tournaments only matter when a player may be eligible for another team in the future. If he played in the youth tournament for Germany before he was a US citizen, then he would be forever ineligible to play for the US. His one time switch in itself pretty much means he can only play for the US. That's the beauty of it, you can only switch once.
