Oh, I know... It was a plan D buy... I never wanted him, though I wasn't opposed at the price... I was always skeptical, but he is a likable fella...

much like many of our buys the past 2+ windows.... and T, i'm not coming at you bro... please don't take it that way...

it's just fricking infuriating when i see my beloved team sell off a world class talent and get absolutely shite in return, relying on "hopes and dreams" that ain't panning out.... i was hard on dalglish, but at this point i'd grovel and beg for his sorry arse to come back, as i know he could at least get something out of this little bit of talent on our squad...

i just cannot believe that after the end of last season Rodgers somehow survived with his job intact with a guy like Klopp available... it befuddles my mind, it really does...

A truly good club is always looking to upgrade. If FSG did not try to acquire Klopp or Rafa last year than we deserve what we get this year. If they think that this moron is of that class than we really are in trouble.

You know, the more I watch this club the more I'm convinced that the problem lies within the manager, not the players. I think we have some great players. I don't think we have the right manager though.

EDIT: And I don't think Benteke, Can, Firmino, Lallana, Milner, Clyne, and Gomez are absolute shite.

The silver lining is that, if we are to believe the rumors, Klopp is waiting in the wings. And if Madrid keep up this off and on form Rafa may be available as well.

Between the two, I can't imagine BR still being here to start next season... But then again FSG can do some weird shite

Wow - two days away from United and this thread has been dead for a week. Have to think there's quite a bit of nervousness in our ranks.

Been reading about Lovren and skyrtel and I have come to agree that it's quite damning that they have been given a partnership that is all liability and stuck with even though clearly it isn't working. They just aren't good together. And to think that we stick to them with sakho having outperformed both, and guys like Llori never being given a chance is just mind boggling.

The clean sheets were a combination of luck, goalkeeping and the fullbacks staying back. And we have see that our fullbacks concentration on defense (or inability in gomezs case on offense) has really impacted our ability to score as well.

United have not set the world on fire on offense, so I expect to see a crappy goal from one team this Saturday. We haven't show we are capable of a good team goal and neither has united really I'm hopeful of a draw - but without Hendo I think our midfield gets played around with a bit - like it has many times in the last 10 or so league games.

I was just about to post to bring this thread from the depths of the soccer board

My question was do we see this partnership this match? Sakho's kid has been born for weeks now so the excuse of him not being in training is no longer legitimate. This fixture is not the one to continue this experiment imo. I really want Sakho on the pitch this Saturday.

I'm hoping for something like this

I will continue to expect to see that horrible combination until one of them gets injured. While I am looking forward to see how we rebound from such a pathetic outing, I dont know what to expect. A draw is realistically the best outcome I can hope for. A win, meaning we actually net something and form an offensive threat, would be greatly appreciated, but I really cannot expect it at this time.

Fully expecting Lovren starting and us getting trounced 3 or 4 to nil.

Really sucks having Jurgen and Rodgers in charge of both your soccer teams.

I would be shocked if Sakho started. The interesting part will be when we get a new manager and he replaces both Skrtel and Lovren immediately. Only Rodger's thinks these two are what you need in the center to finish top four. Like many of you I have used the break to cool my jets a little and now I'm pissed off all over again seeing pictures of Sakho training under the watchful eye of a manager who has no fricking clue what he's looking at.

A guy that has been pretty spot on about the lineups has said that Lovren starts. Pisses me off, but good news is that Ings does too

frick Danny Ings, I don't even know why we signed this guy. Balotelli and Benteke should be playing up front.
