I think Lallana played what was possibly his best game for us. He was everywhere, displayed great skill, and made beautiful runs.

Hopefully Coutinho heals quickly. He played an amazing game.

Firmino... That magnificent bastard! He was just toying with the entire City back line, especially on the left.

Hart made some awesome saves tonight, or it would have been 6 or 7 goals for us. Two on Firmino and one on Benteke, all in 1v1 scenarios.

Skrtel was fantastic. My favorite goal was his. Just a laser!

Lovren was really good. Maybe made a mistake or two, but he had a great game. Clyde and Moreno shut down the wide sides fairly well for how much they were attacked.

Milner was just all over the pitch again. He does that every single week. He probably saved two goals with his hustle today.

Mugs made a fantastic save when he was 1v1 with Sterling then got back across the goal to save from a Sterling assist.

Complete team win, one that we haven't seen in a LONG time!

He did look solid today. He looked much more relaxed, and wasn't thinking so much, just playing the game. I love Klopp though! Guys come off and get friggin bear hugs, and subbing in he's equally positive. He's awesome and it's very evident on the pitch. This squad, despite a giant rash of injuries, can still make a push for the top 4, which many thought unobtainable. Between this result at Etihad and at Stamford Bridge, I'm high as a kite haha Gah, this is fun!!! This makes the past 2 seasons of shite worth it. The Astros did it in baseball, now Pool is doing it in BPL. Just need LSU to pull its head out their asses.

Oh and hats off to Skrtel! Brilliant goal and earned MoM. Well deserved.

ETA: The selling off of Sterling looked like a fantastic move today. The money from selling him brought in Firmino, who clearly owned this match. I'm like a giddy kid after this win. Oh and Leicester City is a top the table... Who the hell saw that coming? Haha

Agreed... My favorite part of the Klopp era so far is the fact that most of the players we kinda wrote off under BR are playing so well (Lallana, Lovren, Can to an extent, etc.)

i'll be the first to say i wanted to sell the whole damn lot of 'em. but man they're showing some quality. amazing what some positive energy and confidence can do for your squad. glad to see it's finally coming from the top down and not dependent upon a player to rally around.

:/ well Les has owned Sumlin, so I'd be for a change. Lol

But I truly fear what a saban like coach would do down there.

Just watched the MOTD highlights after work just now and at least they made me feel better after that LSU game...

Can't wait for Thursday and next weekend!

What a match yesterday! I watched in a packed bar with the sound on el classico, so I had to watch again last night (to get LSU off the brain) when I got home!

Firmino could have easily had 2 or 3 more... and others as well...

Firmino, Coutinho and Can were my combined MOTM... And I'll say it again, I was wrong about Lallana, he's starting to look like the player we were hoping we were getting from Southhampton... but playing within the team..

If Studge can get back healthy.. this attack will be something! Bent eke off the bench later in matches as a battering ram..

The next 6 matches or so are very winnable.. now is the time to make a move up the table!

Just read that klopp has won more games at the big four in 5 weeks than Rodgers did in three years. Wow. That's a pretty quick and big turn of events.

I really think that if klopp gets a few transfer windows right, we will have quite a team.

And the squad depth should be excellent compared to his Dortmund teams which should see us through the lack of break and extra games.

Re-watched it this morning. frick me, we were downright oppressive. Felt like I was watching Arsenal-Liverpool 2013-14.

With all of our injuries so far, we should be well rested for the second half of the season.

There's certainly cause for optimism. Taking apart Chelsea and Man City is huge, but those results are diminished if we can't take care of teams lower in the table at home. Let's keep building momentum this weekend.

Lucas deserves MAD PROPS. In two less games.

He's freaking killing it. He's always been a favorite of mine and I will basically forever hate Rogers for being such a twat to him.

Dude has the heart of a lion and stuck it out through more shite with this club than any player I can remember other than Gerrard.

Take a bow son.

I still think he needs to be replaced

But, I give him credit for the loyalty he's shown LFC while being somewhat jerked around...

I don't think "replaced" necessarily. With a Europe schedule, there's 100% a spot for him, but yea, we could certainly use another top shelf DM/holding mid.

We should poach Xabi from Bayern for his swan song.

I'm on board with Lucas - I don't think he should be our primary defensive midfielder. He's just a bit too slow at times. But he should remain on the team and play at least 20 games a year (some as a sub).

One of the things I loved seeing on some of the NBC coverage was watching our press turn into a fast break, but at the same time, we still had TWO central midfielders hang behind to help guard against a counter attack. It was fantastic to see how our press creates plus numbers opportunities, leaves some of their players in no-mans land, and still maintains some defensive shape.

We are clearly playing great away from home. We need to develop our style for home games - for gamse when we have more of the ball, more of the impetus, and must break the other team down.

Crating chances like we did on Saturday will help - but need to keep working on it.

Replaced, meaning a first team DM... I wouldn't mind him for a squad player, but I don't know what his wages are... I honestly think you could get comparable for much cheaper.. I'm guessing he's ~£80k/wk

Plus, I think he deserves 1st team football somewhere...

I'd prefer he lead in interceptions... I think he leads in tackles because he finds himself in bad positions and chasing... I wouldn't be surprised to see him up there in fouls too
