Ibe just isn't effective and is way too 1 dimensional at this point.

Yep, he's kind of like Sterling. His speed and pace is best used later in matches when defenses tire. My roommate text me earlier why Ibe sucks this year compared to last, and I do think its because he is playing all match, plus he isnt totally developed yet. He needs to be more creative to get around defenders in 1 on 1s, and he needs to use his teammates more.

Random thoughts brought to you by Adderall:

-100% should've brought on Ings or Origi instead of Ibe. He's been terrible. Loses possession way too much

-I assume if Lallana was healthy he would be the guy to replace Coutinho/Firmino?

-I wish we'd give Markovic a chance to make the squad and be the 75' sub. He's like Moreno in the sense that he can create something late with his pace

-Continue to be very pleased with our defense for the most part. Lovren still seems to get some hate but I think he's improved tremendously. Obviously can be a little shaky but he has been way better than last year. Everyone talks about Gomez cause he's 18 and been a huge surprise, but I think Clyne might go down as the signing of the summer. Dude Has been a stud. Teams aren't even attempting to challenge him on the right side. Entire 2nd half Arsenal was targeting Gomez on the left

-Speaking of incredible signings, Milner has been a beast for us. Stepped up huge today with no Hendo....felt like he ran 30 miles over the course of the game he was all over the place

-I am so glad Rodgers finally bit the bullet and played a defensive mid today in Lucas. He does such a good job protecting the back 4. Idk if we'll keep doing that when Sturridge gets back but I definitely think we need to against teams with big offense. Then let Can be the 70' sub for Lucas/Hendo/Milner if he doesn't start

I really want to know what a starting 11 looks like with a healthy Studge and Hendo

The second half was more disappointing, but gotta give the guy's props for showing the guts to grind that one out. That's the kind of games that really help keep you in the top 4 race or Europe. We still have a little ways to go before firing on all cylinders in attack, but I think Sturridge could be a great partner for Benteke.

West Ham at home next week, I'd really like to see us just unleash on them. Hold the ball in their half, control the game, and throw a real attack at them to try and get us a little more on the same page before heading to Old Trafford.

I know I was aggravated after the first two performances, but this was better and more of what I expected going to the Emirates. I would've definitely taken 7 points from the first 3 though prior to the start of the season

Clyne and Gomez have been so damn good for us. Clyne is a brick wall, Gomez is always a bit more nervy, but damn is he physically gifted. I hope Brendan sees the benefit of the midfield 3 and keeps this shape.

I am glad to say this... I am excited about the prospects of our future form. We did very well today defensively for the amount of time they had the ball. Another clean sheet against a very good attacking team.

Czech is retarded good. Looks dumb with his crash helmet, but good grief he is a good keeper.

I feel bad for Coutinho and Teke. Teke seems to keep the ball on the ground with his finishing attempts off of crosses. I wish he would have lifted that cross from Firmino a bit, he did a good job of getting it on goal (it almost eeked in too). Coutinho's shot from the left after the fantastic footwork was golden... Damn it, Cech, GOLDEN.

I agree with the majority in regards to Ibe. He should be on as a LATE sub. Gives up too many turnovers and has terrible touch.

Was impressed with the youngsters Gomez and Rossiter. Gomez was only out of position a couple of times, and Rossiter played well in defense of the goal at the end.

Also, Moreno is a fantastic late game Sub.

Glad to take a point from Arsenal on the road any day! Here's to a Hammering of West Ham next weekend! YNWA!

Just finished watching. Very happy with the result. Away from home, third game of the season, against a top 4 squad, at a place we've won once in the last decade. Outside of Ibe I can't take a single negative out of that. Every single player had a great game IMO. We have the possibility of getting 10/12 if we take the 3 from WHU. I'd be over the moon with that.

Any time you can get away from the Emirates with a point, is a good thing.

But damn, we should have had the lead in the first half. Bentenke has to put that one away.

Second half, Arsenal had the advantage because BR pulled us back a bit. We were definitely gassed later in the game.

Overall, we created several good opportunities, played fairly sound defensively, and grinded out a point from a tough place to play.

I thought this was Lovren's best game as a Liverpool player. I thought Gomez did a good job 1 on 1 defending, though he misses a lot of opportunities to move forward or send someone through on the left.

Milner and Can were very active. Lucas did well for his role.

To me, the least impressive starter was Firmino. He gave the ball away with some errant passes early. His touch was poor at times. He was physically pushed around a bit. He didn't seem to make the best decisions. His defensive effort was a mixed bag, especially early on. I think he'll continue to grow into the league a bit, but he's got a lot to work on.

I am a bit surprised with how many long balls we're playing, and I'm starting to feel at times that we just hoof it rather than playing it up through the back. I am ok with it for a game like Arsenal, but we really do need to keep possession better overall.

Gomez
is playing out of his mind right now. I know he has been quite good for an 18 year old, but I saw this on Twitter yesterday, and was kind of shocked hes done so well statistically. I hope he can keep it up.

This is floating around as well. It's amazing how composed and effective he is at 18 in an unnatural position.

to think that this will probably be the worst we are gonna be this season, barring injury of course.... and by that i mean we have some seriously good players out right now that will be back soon, and our players will have played together for a while later in the season, as opposed to right now, where everyone is still learning to play together...

honestly, top 4 seems assured, barring injury again...

Dude. Easy Turbo.

Watching the replay. We could have easily won that damn game.

How freaking huge would that have been.

fricking Cech. I'm excited about this team. Has some grit about them and they'll only get better as we get Sturridge back and they continue to play together.

The way our back four alone has played has me much more confident. Having 2 fullbacks who actually defend is huge.

Our attack will get better as the season wanes. This match was nothing but a positive.

This and when Firmino/Benteke get acclimated within the attack... we could score some goals this year..

I cant complain with three clean sheets, so I won't.. but I'm still not very confident there..
