A transfer that doesn't make sense in a position we don't need? It's seems likely ;-)

With ibes performance being underwhelming I'm actually hoping we got back into the Pedro hunt since Man U has been taking their time with it.

I'm pretty sure Lazar is a winger.

I think Lazar can play on the wing, but IMO he's more of a CAM or second striker

The dude from Dortmund would make no sense... sure he's a talent, but we already have quite a few CAMs.. IF we were to buy in attack (which I think our focus should be elsewhere), I'd think we need someone who could provide more width..

...and I'm kinda pissed we risked Hendo against Bouremouth (at home), if he has to miss Arsenal..

I wish my bosses had that mindset... We don't think you're quite up to it, here's a 33% raise!

I think its a sign that he sees him as the future starter. The ONLY thing I can think of is that BR feels that Lovrens best chance to regain confidence is to start out the year strong. And Skyrtel, for all of his weaknesses, is our most consistent CB right now. Perhaps BR sees it being Lovren at RCB and Sakho at LCB later in the year, but has to get Lovren playing well to make that happen.

United dropped points today, every point helps!

Disagree with the first part. He was awful in the few times he played on the wing in Portugal (which was very rare). Its a common misconception that he's a winger just because he's really fast. He's much more suited to the hole or playing off the main striker.

I meant that in the sense that he can play there, but not ideal... He has played in wide positions for Benfica, Partizan and Serbia quite a bit in his short career...

I totally agree he is not best suited for the wing and wasted out there...

I also think that as of today, he's probably best suited for a counter attacking team...

Well most midfielders can. I just don't think you're going to get much more than Ibe. Actually, I think he'd probably be worse than Ibe.

I found the stats on this in his first season. It was like 10% of the games or something really small. Now that could be based on starting lineups, or whatever. Positions are so fluid in the modern game so its hard to figure out what that 10% really represents.

Couldn't agree more. He's tailor made for the team we were in '13-'14.

I would actually like to see him playing off of Studge in a 4222, with the two Brazilians as twin attacking Mids... Only IF we had the right MFers to play in a double pivot behind them..

I'm not really advocating for that, because I don't think we have the right personnel behind and it would be hard to drop Benteke (not that we even should)

Just saying, I'd like to see it

Im in the minority in thinking we'd be ok in a double pivot. Henderson has shown a lot of defensive discipline in the last two weeks.

I think we're 'okay' in a double pivot, but that takes away a lot of Henderson and Milner's ability to move forward which I think is very underrated for their ability to make runs in a side that can get very stagnant in the final third.

Milan boss has given his approval for Balotelli deal. Free loan, but Milan paying his wages. Could go through soon.

I am perfectly ok with a free loan as long as they cover his wages.

I also hope it helps us sell him next window.
