Good news, Pool fans:

Origi has been named in L'Equipe's worst team of the season.

Also, what is the purpose of keeping Kolo Toure? He was ok last year, but nothing more than a body this past season... cut him loose please..

I don't mind it. We're a young team overall losing its captain. It doesn't hurt to have a vet that's been around a while, especially someone as well liked as Kolo to help add some leadership and experience on the practice field and the locker room.

I hope he learns a lot from this year because next year is make or break for him and his future at liverpool and he's got a lot to prove

He's way too error prone these days... It's not the worst thing the world, but I hope he doesn't see much of the pitch next season..

That's the only thing you can hang your hat on, if he's retained... I'd support him if thats the case, but will not feel confident going into the transfer window or season..

I wish FSG would just come out and make a statement... They've seen the whole season unfold.. no need for a review...

My confidence is at an all-time low. We'll see what happens this summer. I can see him getting sacked in December, if it's not working out.

Because I have too much time on my hands today, laying on the couch, to think about it all... Thats what Im attributing the timing of the Sky reports on Rodgers & Bild reports on Klopp to...

I'm sure it's no coincidence...

Honestly, I'd rather not sack Rodgers if there is no replacement in mind.

Brendan Rodgers will not be sacked by FSG at season review, according to Sky Sports sources.

This on twitter from @Liverpool_FC_

Maybe they'll give him this window to right the ship, but I fear that is a MASSIVE gamble.

I fear that FSG does not understand what it takes to run a big time football club in Europe. I understand where we are at right now but the goal is or should be to achieve "big club" status again. I promise you if BR was the manager of the Red Sox his arse would be gone ( See Tito Francona ).

The goal is long term "big club" status. The last thing they want to get into is playing carousel at manager.

Just trying to give some insight where FSG is coming from. Their goal from the very beginning has been long term success and sustainability of the club, knowing it would be a long term project.

I think they know they missed an opportunity to capitalize on last year's success, but they also aren't abandoning the game plan immediately to blindly throw money and chase after fourth. At the very least, I can respect that.

Again, not that I 100% agree with it and you can definitely argue against it, but I'll get behind Brendan for another year.

I get the plan and we'll have no choice but to get behind BR, I just think we've seen enough after three full seasons. I see a ton of confusion, tinkering and players totally out of position. Rodger's transfer record thus far has been minimal return on our investments ( transfer committee doesn't help) and I'm not sure he can attract top level talent to play for him. I hope I'm wrong with everything I have stated but this year has traumatized me.

I agree. Which is why I said I don't 100% agree with it. I think he's shown enough to say that he's not a complete idiot, even this year. I just hope this whole process at least knocks him down a peg and tells him he has to get his shite straight now or he's gone. No more bullshite, no more experimenting. Win and show us you're in control of the ship leading us in the right direction, or get out.

There was strong talk that Ayre had to talk FSG out of firing BR the first year... I gotta believe that if he ends up staying, its because no one worth a shite was willing to take the job.. No offense, but I don't buy that building something horseshite... Not in this day and age.. three years (and £200mm+) is plenty of time to prove something and we're gonna fall further behind..

Even ManUre gave up that pollyanna, let Sir Alex pick his successor bullshite experiment after one season and finishing seventh, missing out on the UCL... They went out and got a big name and dropped an enormous amount of cash... Cause they know it doesn't take long to fade into mediocrity... And they will spend again this summer, because they still aren't good enough to compete for the title...

I know we don't have the same spending power and I'm not asking them to spend what they don't have, but they can try and bring in an upgrade in the manager and director of football.. and go from there..

I dont necessarily believe that Sky report... I'm not sure they know what they are going to do yet.. At least I hope not..
