Watching this team right now is an absolute joy. Our young talent is incredible, I really think top 4 and some FA hardware is in the cards. My favorite sight right now is BR talking strategy to Kolo as he's about to come onto the pitch to finish another one out. YNWA.

It really is night and day... The season, before Xmas, was some,of the worst crap I've seen as a LFC supporter... This is up there with last season..

Yeah, it's incredible the transformation we've seen... I'm glad they gave BR the time to get things rolling. I honestly believe if we can add a marque player or two this summer, we can compete in Europe and for the league title... Maybe I'm just dreaming but I can see it, but hey let's finish this season strong and maybe get some silverware

I think you are spot on, maybe address the midfield (DM) and add a pure finisher. Am I crazy or is our back three ok at this point ? I guess it depends on where we are going to play Can.

All depends on Lovren.

We really need to offload Glen Johnson and get him off the wage bill. We still have Enrique but we could replace both of them with 2 versatile defenders/DMs and be pretty set IMO.

Still need another reliable front man that fits the system to backup Sturridge. His injury records is just too shoddy to not find a viable replacement. I'm really liking us being linked to the Villareal kid from Argentina.

I still think we need a DM, CB, RB/RWB, GK and assuming we offload Borini and Lambert (which we should) and possibly Balotelli (who I'd like to keep - but BR may not), a striker... Origi has really struggled this season, on a bad Lille team... I'm sure he'll come in this summer and we'll have a look, but not convinced he's ready.

If we lose those 3 strikers than we need to bring in someone to challenge Studge for the #1 role (like a Lacazette) and if we do that, I'd be okay with someone like Ings as 3rd/4th choice. I'd be pissed if Ings was the main option after Studge. I realize this all depends on qualifying for UCL, too.

The big question going forward, beyond this season is if BR is willing to keep playing a back 3 or does he want to go back to his favored 433/4231.. or even diamond.. My guess is he'd like to have the talent on hand to be flexible enough to move within both, in which case I think we need some upgrades in defense, because this current system covers up a lot of our defenders weaknesses..

Just my 2 cents..

The big question in my eyes is Ings really an upgrade to Borini?

And what about Manquillo of RB/RWB? Still think we need cover there with Sterling and Markavic? I guess it all depends on the system we truly want to run.

I think Stiker is absolutely the number 1 need. We need a real challenger/partner to Sturridge and I as well would like to keep Balotelli around, especially if we are playing in Europe next year.

Lambert has to go, Borini only if there's a proven replacement for him which I'm not sure Ings truly is. I'd consider the economics of that (wages and fees).

Manquillo of RB/RWB?

He is okay as a RB (defensive in nature, like most Spanish RBs), but no where near good enough in attack.. and a WB needs that to excel.. Same goes for Flanagan, though Manquillo has a bigger upside as a RB, IMO.. I think both Wisdom and Ilori are both capable of playing as the RCB in this 3 man back, though Wisdom has fallen out of favor w/Pulis as a RB at WBA and Ilori has been injured a lot of this season at Bordeaux..

I think their talents and upside are about on par... If we can get anywhere close to the £14mm that Sunderland offered us for him, with the price of Ings being £3-4mm (on top of it, he's home grown)... I'd take that deal everyday. I think its clear that Borini is NOT in BRs plans moving forward..

The one wildcard I'll throw out there for a fourth striker is Jerome Sinclair, though he probably needs at least a season on loan... He's been a standout for the U21s..

edit: And to be clear, I don't really care one way or another if we sign Ings. I think he would be a good, home grown, squad player at a good price.. I'd rather Berahino, if talking young and home grown, but he would command a fee that I don't know he's worth...

Good point on Ings. One things for certain with him, he'd be cheap and he works his socks off, but thats kinda my point about Borini, so does he.

I just really hope we act quickly and decisively. I love what FSG is doing but we've lost out on a lot of talent dicking around and getting cute with wages etc.

IMO Ings is clearly better than Borini with a much bigger upside. Its a no brainer.

I agree and thats with my very limited viewing of Ings... I'd like to watch more, but well, he plays for Burnley..

It'd be interesting to see how he'd fit in with our other attacking talent.. since he doesn't get great service at Burnley.. But fir the price, its a very low risk gamble.

Another I haven't watched much, but curious, how would you compare Ings to Charlie Austin? He seems much more of a classic #9 and would prob command a much higher fee.

Thats who would be #1 target, factoring in talent vs. price.. I'd stay away from the real huge names.. realistic or not..

Dybala is another I really would like, but he's likely to cost a fortune. Vietto is a much more affordable option, in regards to the young Argentines..

I know many will not like this, due to his injury record, but I absolutely love Jovetic... I would prob take a chance on him if the fee was ~£15mm..

I think Glenn Johnson had to go - we can do better for the wages.

Balo likely should go. His wages are way too high for a part time player.

Need another cb unless both guys on loan will cut it. Remember salhosakho gets hurt often and we need at least 6 for depth of we keep playing a 3 back system. We could get away with 5 and can as a full in from cm.

Speaking of, we need another cm. Preferably a top end defensive stalwart.

Wing back may be ok - maybe one more young project. If we ever want to play four at the back we will need more though.

Striker is a necessity. Origi won't be the quality we need immmediately. Lacazette would be perfect.

Back-up gk would be nice.

If we can legitimately adress most of these, I will be happy.

What DMs do you guys like out there right now?

I'd kill for an all energy Dembele type. Not sure whats out there and really available though. Allen has really looked fantastic stepping in for Lucas.

Schneiderlin

Hasn't his tag been 20-35MM with all the big boy after him?

I'd love to land a player like that though, or just find another Xabi Alonso in the Spanish League.

Yeah, Schneiderlin may be expensive.. William Carvalho would also be expensive, but I like his upside..

Geoffrey Kondogbia (Monaco)
Imbula (Marseille)
Bender (Bayer)
Gonalons (Lyon)
Illarramendi (Madrid)
Camacho (Malaga)
Kramer (Bayer - on loan at Mönchengladbach)
Casemiro (Madrid - on loan at Porto)
