He's basically replacing joe Allen when joe played high up the pitch the second half of last year.
I'm still very skeptical of the move and the price, but I really liked him at PSV. Hopefully a lot of the inconsistencies last year were him still adjusting to the league as well as being on a relegated team with minimal motivation to begin with.

The price doesn't bother me relative to the market... in previous years this is probably a £17mm deal...
Everton are about to bay the same price for Gylfi S.
edit: Also, I don't necessarily think he's in the strongest starting eleven.. thats a good thing though.. He has the quality to actually push those that probably are..

I saw someone tweet this the other day... Obviously you couldn't play against the stronger teams with his, but I'd like to see it rolled out against some weaker teams..

Hendo's not done here yet. Hopefully he can stay healthy and not feel like he has to take over and just stick with what he's good at - running his arse off and covering a lot of ground

I don't think he's going anywhere this season... I certainly hope not. He should see a lot of games given our current squad... Now, obviously that can change if we bring in more... But I don't expect much more in..

If anything... I see it cutting into more of Milner's and Lallana's time... Hendo is still the only true CM of those three...
I also think its curtains for Lucas and Allen in the midfield..
For LB, I hope the links to Jordan Amavi from Villa are true... could be a great signing!

With mane and wij - I think it's clear klopp is targeting more goals from the midfield. That's been a weakness - especially when you consider how many of firminos goals happened while he was the forward.

They both bring more pace, which we desperately needed IMO. While we do already have some AM's, they all like to be on the ball and can be too static without it.

I really like that XI sans Moreno. I hope we can find a starting LB, I know that was something Klopp stressed if not bringing in competition at the very least. I think once we sell Benteke watch us make a move for a real starting LB. I also like the enhanced pace and physical presence. Along with that our depth is improving and by the start of next season I think you will see a true Klopp team......of course If we sell this year to a big time owner then all bets are off.
