Thoughts on this 11?

Lallana, Ings, origi, ojo provide attacking options from the bench. Henderson and Allen provide depth in midfield. Gomez can fill in anywhere along the back line in a pinch.

I would like it if we had someone better than Milner.

Grujic could be that guy, I just haven't seen enough of him yet. Milner did send some tasty balls into the box towards the end of last season

Our 4 attackers are as good as any in the league though, sans maybe United

This. Is. Awesome.

Unless Matip can start on the right (Sakho on the left), then I think it will be the Sakho-Lovren pairing.

Not a fan of Milner in the middle. Also sakho at RCB could be problematic. But I think our first XI sj be similar otherwise.

Milner just isn't a central midfielder and should only provide cover there.

We do have a lot of attacking options heading into the year. Rotation and competition should Hopefullu keep them fresh and firing.

I just don't think Jordan Henderson is very good at soccer, and outside of potentially grucic don't think we have a better option in that deep midfield position. Right now the pool is Henderson, Lucas, Allen, Milner, Grujic. Would've been nice to land Xhaka

You have to flip Sakho and Matip. Sakho only plays on the left (Left footed). Matip can play either side.

I would swap Milner with Hendo. I don't think Milner is a CM, and is more effective on the wings.. He is just not very effective as a CM..

I give Hendo a bit of a pass on last season, due to his injuries.. Obviously, he has to prove he's beyond those this season.. I admit, I believe he is better as a runner/shuttler in MF 3 as opposed to playing in a double pivot...

edit: In the previous two seasons Hendo was above average and very good at times. Is he WC? no.. Will he ever be WC? no.. Can he be improved upon? certainly (I just don't think by anyone in the current squad)!

I think Klopp may be flexible between a 4231 and a 433 (as he showed in the 2 halves of our first preseason match)

4-2-3-1... Unless he is playing Mane up top with Ings in a 4-4-2, which I highly doubt.

I agree, but I imagine Mane will start off in the hole right behind Ings..

Grujic off the post. Looks very good. And HUGE

Also, Mane is making a mockery of these poor fleetwood defenders
