Jetro looks better on Fifa and Youtube than in games on a regular basis. He has a predisposition for Hollywood balls. Theo seems a better option. But I really liked what I saw of Sessegnon. Just my opinion.

But we're all speculating and you're right they are both young and have all the potential to grow into great fullbacks.

Alex Sandro is probably the most wanted fullback in Europe right now. Here are Millie's numbers compared to him per 90 mins.
----------------------------> Millie - Sandro
Goals--------------------> 0.23 - 0.08
Assists------------------> 0.10 - 0.17
Chances Created----> 1.56 - 1.91
Tackles won-----------> 1.82 - 1.70
Interceptions----------> 1.16 - 2.21
Blocks-------------------> 0.10 - 0.17
Clearances-------------> 3.91 - 2.55
Defensive Errors-----> 0.03 - 0.04
Total Duels Won%--> 42.49 - 54.89
Pass Completion%-----> 80 - 85
Avg. Pass Lt.(m)------> 19.23 - 18.87
Key Passes ------------> 1.46 - 1.74

Moving Millie to LB was a Klopp masterstroke.

Now if we can get someone like Sessegnon and have them develop for a couple of years as a part of a team that would be ideal. A team is greater than the sum of its parts when it works for each other I think that is one thing that is clear in Klopp's recruitment practices and probably why he froze Sakho out.

TL/DR Millie is quite a boss at LB.

We'll just disagree... he is nothing special and limits us on that side... I see him as nothing more than a placeholder until we can get a real LB...

I dont doubt he is a good team guy and his versatility is an asset... obviously a hell of a penalty taker... I'd sell him if a good offer came in, though I could live with him as a utility guy... we're most likely stuck with him due to his age + wages...

So...word is that Hendo is out possibly for the rest of the year.

Pretty much all of our CBs are doubts for the game - Matip, Lucas and Klavan all doubts.

So, does that mean Gomez or Can comes in at CB?

How the hell will we deal with Europe next year when we can't put together a starting xi two games in a row with one game a week?

On the plus side, Lallana may be back...

Finanlly, on the transfer front, reports that RM rejected a huge bid for Ascensio.

For the Millie debate - his goals are from PKs.

Milner is fine - he's serviceable, but not an asset at LB. His crossing (from the left)is largely poor. He has to cut in on his right way too often. He's not fast enough to track back as well as we'd like and leaves Klavan/Lovren on an island too much.

In short - he's not our biggest liability, but he leaves holes in our team that need to be shored up at some point Are those immediate needs? Klopp doesn't seem to think so - or at least has bigger needs he's concentrating on fixing.

I'm not opposed to him starting 20-25 games at LB next year. But I also would love for us to sign a true starting XI LB. But Klopp likely views us as being stuck with him either way, and not wanting him in the middle it means finding a good spot for him.

Goals are goals mate. He had to score all those penos. His numbers (both attack and defense) are still damn good compared to the best LBs in Europe.

Get me a top class LB like Alex Sandro and I will trade Millie. Other than that I wouldn't really be bothered. There are other way more pressing needs.

Let's just say we'll agree to disagree.

true, but I wouldn't find that stat line meaningful from his position at LB...

I hope to never see him play there past this season, unless it's a one off injury crisis...

speaking of which, with our injuries.. if we make top 4... we will be crossing the finish line sputtering and leaking oil..

We've had horrid luck with injuries this season. Hendo, Matip, Can, Lallana, Phil, Dejan and Mane are all crucial players and have all been out for significant time. And then you have Chelsea who've have virtually the same team the entire season.

FYI - Bayern is willing to sell Douglas Costa baws.

Klopp: Champions League prospects helping Liverpool in transfer market

The German believes his team has become a much more attractive options for players

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said the prospect of Champions League football is helping the club in their attempts to strengthen in the transfer market.

"I think that Liverpool at this moment is a really interesting project for players. It's a fantastic club, it's a good situation where we really can see the progress of the team," he said.

"The talks we've had so far are very positive. That doesn't mean it will all work out, but they are really positive, and they all see the progress. That's good.

Daniel Sturridge could be forced out of contention once again as Liverpool prepare to host Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday evening.

He could have hoped to come into Jurgen Klopp‘s starting lineup against Palace, but this now seems highly unlikely.

Sturridge was not pictured at Melwood on Friday afternoon and, according to the Liverpool Echo, has now missed “several training sessions” in the buildup to Sunday’s clash.

Who would have ever thought that by the end of the 2016-17 season that Mamadou Sakho would be worth more in the transfer market than Daniel Sturridge?

He looked really fast on his run on that breakaway.

Pretty sure he still won't be a part of Liverpool's future, but maybe if Hull avoids relegation they'll be willing to purchase him from us so we can make some of our money back on him.

yeah, he should have been played in through the middle... It was Robertson who is that LB we are supposedly interested in and he may be one footed...

I really hope he gets another chance here, but if not, keep playing well and drive the price tag up...

Any Houstonians in here, is there a good Liverpool bar that will be showing the game? Want to catch it before heading home

There's only so much Couts and Migs can do to pick up the squad and carry them over the finish line if our defenders stand out there not recognizing that a team set up to counter-attack are going to, you know, COUNTER-ATTACK.

70 minutes in, what an utterly shitty performance.

Looking for one of the Brazilians to produce another miracle I guess.
