Brexit finally triggered in my save and was trying to figure out if this is 'good' or 'bad' brexit regarding the current circumstances IRL in the EPL. Apparently there a number of ways Brexit can play out in-game, including nothing changing or something called a 'hard' brexit. I have no clue which I got.

I guess my main question, if anyone here even plays this game, is will my current players who aren't from the UK always not count against the foreign players number?

Sucks if your City with your lack of English players

Lol Iheanacho, Maffeo, Donnarumma and Angelino are all english citizen in my save so that helps.

But yeah, i have a frick ton of foreigners, but have some english talent as well, including Reece Oxford, Stones, Sterling, Sessegnon and some other home grown kids who are out on loan, but I think my last count I only had eight that are first team ready.

I looked around at some other team's rosters and United had zero English citizens in their starting team

Should be fun to see how much the prices for English talent sky rocket.

ETA: It didn't take me very long to realize how much of a bitch work permits are. I've had to send this Ivorian wonderkid out on loan for three straight years because they won't grant him one. I guess with this, I can just finally include him in the side though since it says WP's will just be scrapped and I'm just capped on foreign players in general.

How is them living in England for 1,850 (or however long it is) days me cheating?

I bought Donnarumma and the others were already there. They've been in the country long enough to gain citizenship. That isn't cheating at all.

It's insane. I will never play FIFA again until they add something, literally anything to Manager mode

It's essentially just real life. Like for all my players it says they have to live in England for like 1800 or so days and once they do they're citizens. No clue if that is the actual law there, but I'd assume it is since every thing else the game does is pretty accurate.

I live on my computer for work, so I prefer games on my PS4 to get me away from it. But FM is so good.

The squad rules in this instance are essentially the same, but instead of 8 homegrown players you need 10 if the squad maximum is still 25.

FM or as it used to be named Championship Manager is fricking crack. I used to buy the disc from England before they started selling it here in the states. CM 01/02 is still the GOAT.

I'm still on FM16 because my save is too good to move on to 17. I'm interested in how Brexit will work though. Should throw a nice wrinkle into managing in England.

I just started flirting/talking to an old gal I fooled around with in high school and think it might actually have potential

so should I just completely forget about buying this game? I'm afraid if I get it, I will disappear from the face of the earth for like 3 months

I've had the game for like a month and have logged like 70 hours.

It is addicting as frick.

I've seen it from some research range from 12 foreign players to 17 allowed, so I guess mine is 'medium' in terms of a hard brexit.

Do you know, does the exemption for players already here last just until the end of their contract or what?

Don't do it. This game will be renting space in your head all of the time. You'll be thinking about creating your next tactic, trying to find the next wonderkid, etc.

Its definitely addictive - but I can see it not being everyone's cup of tea.

Almost got fired twice during my first year at Liverpool (even stormed out of two press conferences due to the questions). Now I've won 3 PL titles in a row but the English media start every story about my accolades by reminding everyone about my having almost been fired in my first year.

Tactics, man management, in game adjustments all play a part. Plus transfers and youth development.

I was raging throughout my first season. I'd dismantle Arsenal 7-0, then get rocked 4-0 by Watford.

You have to keep changing your tactics and player roles because the AI starts to figure you out. It can be rage inducing.

Been playing the series since CM 97/98

I Bolted from Leeds, before the brexit began. But i believe it ends up making it hard as hell to get work permit, i believe this article explains it better?

I'm 2 busy putting my foot up madrid/barca arse to worry about those peasant EPL clubs that i beat by 5-7+ goals every CL match.
