yeah when I had my initial meeting with the assistant coach I kind of surprised myself with how hands off my gut instinct told me to be. all the OOTP games had turned me into a micro manager from hell. I just wanted to get a feel for the contract screen and after about 30 seconds I was thinking to myself "why the frick do I care whether this 17 year old gets 250 or 275 dollars per appearance"

i let asst manager handle everything but opposition planning. with my formation and stuff, i do not use the opposition dealio.

all i do is set the team, and watch her win, and scout for youngins to load up my u-19 and atletico-b squad.

then when 17 or 18, loan them all out. I think i have the leading scorer in 5 leagues, all out on loan.

can you or Caigbaw give a short run down on what "opposition tactics" entails. I think I have a pretty damn good idea but man the wording threw me off big time so I think I delegated it

I"m not real sure what you mean by opposition tactics.

I set my own tactics, but I also found a few online that I downloaded and uploaded into my game. I'm comfortable enough now to where I'll tinker with those and I've also tried to create a few of my own, but the results have not been great

or opposition game plan, something along those lines. the assistant coach says something to the effect of, do you want me to set up the opposition tactics/gameplan etc etc. I can't remember verbatim I'll start up a burner save tomorrow and try to find it

If you have it set up where your Asst Man automatically adjust the opposition gameplan (show onto weaker foot, tackle hard, tightly mark, etc) make sure your asst manager has high ratings in judging player ability, man management, and tactical knowledge.

ETA: I was able to play a few years ago on Macbook without any problems. Am I still okay to do that? Or would I need a PC to do it? This is hypothetical, of course.

I play it without any issues on my Macbook Pro.

The only thing that's kind of annoying is that it murders the battery and my fan is in hyperdrive half of the time

Ah okay.

Yeah, I do all of this manually. I typically will always choose to go in hard/close down on wingers, then I play everyone else by ear (your assistant gives tips throughout the match so I change if he mentions it.)

I also will force someone onto their weaker foot if my assistant mentions it.

I had FM15, and this drove me nuts. Felt like the thing was going to launch off into space.

Hahaha I had never heard it do it until I fired the game up and I thought my computer was about to fry.

The good thing is that it isn't constant. It will do it for 30-45 seconds and then stop for 10-15 minutes. I also usually play with Netflix or something on behind it so I don't really hear it.

If you do it manually I always set up my instructions to go tackle hard on any opposition that has lower than 10 bravery (if you are using 1-20 scale), show onto weaker foot on any player that shows that the are right foot only/left foot only(look at their profile of stronger foot). Never tight mark a player with high numbers in Acceleration and pace. He'll spin you and leave you behind.

I usually set up my instructions manually until I get my team to a point financially that I can hire a bad arse Asst Mang to do the work for me. If you start out at a top team then just hire him from the get go.

Do they ever plan to release these on consoles or will it always just be on computers? I think I would love this game, but I have almost no memory on my computer and I already save everything to OneDrive.

I learned this lesson the first time I ever played against Balde Keita.

Dude is at Chelsea in my save and no matter what I do, he scores in every single match for them.

I mean I guess they could, but I doubt they ever will.

There is not real gameplay. It's essentially a massive spreadsheet. All you do is click the screen, you don't really do anything else. People would probably bitch about how you don't anything.

No doubt bruh. Only way you can get away with tight marking a really fast player is to have a Defender with at least 17 in Acc/Pace. Those attributes with high marks in tackling, concentration, marking, heading, and jumping ability means the player is worth £35-50 million pounds and their club is not selling.

I'm yet to find a decent youngster who is a threat in the air lol. The only one I have is Stones and a Welsh CB that is in my first team now that came through the academy. Aside from that, I don't have shite for an aerial threat. I do have a ton of fast wingers, AM's and forwards though.

On the other hand, it's like January 30, 2022 and Dybala has like 35 goals on the year

He finished with 56/21 two seasons ago and still didn't win the Ballon d'Or. Lost to Neymar who finished with 27/13, but had like an 8.5 avg match rating.

I splashed $60 mil the last summer window for a Brazilian CDM named Brolileo. I don't even use a CDM, but I couldn't pass the name up. The board constantly reminds me in their updates that "his signing appears to be a very poor financial decision" hahahaha
