In 2016 he was 6 wins, 8 draws, 22 losses. Abysmal.

There was so much hope towards the end of 2015. Then 2016 was just absolute garbage

My brother, a Crystal Palace fan, has been pissed after every win this year because it delayed this day.

The True Geordie is laughing his arse off somewhere. Probably while downing a pint.

Smart to snatch up big Sam if they do before other teams like Swansea try

Sounded like from skysports, that Sam made contact immediately as the axe dropped.

NO contract offer, but Sam wants it, and there is a lot of interest from Palace side.

Big Sam sure loves him some relegation scraps. His teams never play attractive soccer, but Route 1 can be effective and it will probably keep Palace in the PL for at least another year. He's good at getting the most out of mediocre talent.

Route 1 has kept West Brom up for years.

This makes me so damn sad... Again another big frick you to the FA

And I think the Sam not playing attractive is a tad overblown. It wasn't exactly Barcelona, but we were scoring quite a bit under him in the run in last year, and were one of the better teams on the form table from the new year on. He's gonna easily keep them up. Moyes has work cut out for him.

Hope you're right. After the summer window we had, I'm not sure I'm prepped to sweat out a relegation battle in the spring.

supposedly the first thing Sam asked the owners, was if and how much he would have to bring in some players in January, to help fight off the drop.

he must of got a positive response, if he took the gig that quick.
