Anyone see the post and can describe it?

I did not.

Napoli claim it was a popular TikTok video not meant to offend.

Osimhen has removed most of his Napoli pictures on his account.

Where does Osimhen end up next year? Chelsea?

Saw it yesterday. Nothing outrageous but it was a dumb thing to do with no benefit in doing so. I can see where he would take issue to it.

The whole thing was very weird. It was the type of thing that you would expect from a troll account of a rival team, not the official account of the team the guy plays for.

I would be pissed as well.

There was a second video that had some obvious racial overtones. I’m not sure if that was from the official page or not.

It’s the kind of stuff that passes for humor in Europe (and when I always laugh when someone says anywhere in Europe is less racist than the US).

And I’m not particularly thin-skinned but seeing this type of stuff from my own team that I excelled for would piss me off.

Such a bizarre video to post in the first place.

It was that bad that no one will even describe it? all I see are claims it had racial overtones but that can mean anything with how easily people are offended today.

There was 2 one was about a monkey, and the other was him missing a penalty shot, which is weird from a team sponsored account.

I’ll admit that would be considered one of the biggest controversies in sports this millennium by American media if that happened here then. Content creator would be fired the next day and have to offer a public apology

Eta they’re plenty more racist in Europe. Same scenario actually, I remember when England lost in euros on penalties a couple years ago and all the black players were the ones to miss and there was a ton of racist comments out of UK social media from that.

Well players in Italy and Spain are subjected to racist abuse pretty regularly, and let’s not even discuss the Eastern European countries. It’s hilarious to me how many euros hold themselves as being culturally and morally elite to Americans yet their athletes still get bananas thrown at them. Like, imagine that in 2023. Can you think of the shite storm that would set off if it happened in the United States?

Even worse are the Americans that think those places are so much better than here. Stuck-up, pretentious uncultured swine they are
