Looks like he got his wish, that fee, if true of course, is laughable. Subotic has been better for over a year now.

Maybe people can start to blame BVB for 'ruining' the competitive balance of the league by selling players. Provided they buy a good CB with that money, maybe block head from Schalke, then it's a great move. I don't think Schalke would sell to their rival, but Dortmund gave them Santana.

I have no doubt BVB will put that money to great use. Hummels at that price is ridiculous. He can't even beat out Mertesacker who cost Arsenal like 8 million.

That's a huge overpayment. Hummels has a great touch for a defender and passes well, but I've seen him make several critical mistakes as an actual defender.

He has the ability to pass well but he's just as likely to pass it to the other team in his defensive 3rd as he is to deliver a killer through ball in the opponents 18.

Hummels is a great passer of the ball. He will do well in Barca's system. He can get away with being an average on ball defender. A big overpayment though, but a good deal for Dortmund.

Hummels is a rich man's Thomas Vermaelen. At least to me. They're both very athletic, offensive minded center backs who catch the eye when you watch them but they forget way too often that a center back's main job is to defend and get punished for it
