Stoke defense looks so solid. City is going to need a set piece to score.

That Schneiderlin guy looks terrible...

Would have loved for him to come to Spurs! Southampton wise not to let him go.

some close matches going on right now. Newcastle leveled it up, Southhampton pulled ahead, QPR hanging on with their lead, City finally starting to dominate possession and pump the ball into Stoke's box.

Maybe I'm just stubborn, but I don't think we need Scheiderlin.

Stoke has brought back the Premier League's facorite bus in the last few minutes. They have 11 men in the box.

Where was this Aguero in the World Cup? Non-existent in the WC, now he's world class again.

And this commentator on NBCSN keeps saying the two wide players, but it sounds like he's saying the two white players.

Ramires is starting on the wing. If anyone needs me, I'll be banging my head against the wall.

No shite, man. I've got both of my monitors showing matches and two laptops on my desk with the others. I just couldn't pick one to watch.

That's what happens when you play "Give the ball to Messi".

As a side note, how long do you guys think I should wait before bumping the "Louis van Gaal the 'Tactical Genius'" thread? There will be some satisfying moments in there, I think. Roundabout December or so?

Van Gaal will have success at United eventually. Not sure if that involves a 3-5-2 though.

Once they buy 2 or so defenders then you will be able to properly judge his 'system.'

yaya doesnt deserve a yellow there IMO. i guess it doesnt matter but he certainly had a leg thrown at him and falling down there is not surprising. no penalty, move on.

Agreed. No foul, but it wasn't a dive either.

I have a bad feeling that City steals a goal in stoppage time. Hope I'm wrong.

The shite part of it all is that everyone keeps screaming to move to the 4-3-3 when we don't even have proper fullbacks to do the job. It may be a better scenario than the shite sandwich we're seeing now, but with the players we have at the back, there isn't really a good situation. We need our new signings to come in in a big way. Otherwise, it'll be a miserable season.

Both of these.
