Yeah that’s pretty underwhelming. Gravenberch isn’t even a DM

If. players like Tchouameni and Caicedo are off the board...

I'd go for something like Lavia/Tyler Adams... Adams as the 23/24 primary starter at DM... Lavia long term... Adams long term could play cover DM/RB and the TAA role (obviously not as skilled a passer).

Unpopular opinion, based on all the names out there and potential cost, I would just go get Lavia and that’s it

Yes, there will be some lumps along the way, probably especially next year, but I really think he’s gonna be world class. Yes he’s only 19, but with him, Mac, Szovo, Curtis, and Bajcetic our midfield should be set for at the very least 5-6 years

Whatever money we would potentially spend, use it to go get Colwill

I think that would leave us really thin at DM... I'm also of the opinion Bajcetic is not a true #6 either and should prob go on loan, though he prob won't...

I agree, I'm all for Lavia as the long term solution, I just think we need to bring another, more experienced one in... I also think the Hendo deal will get worked out one way or the other..

We can’t send Bajceric out on loan. We’re losing Hendo and Fabinho. Midfield is razor thin even with with Mac and Dom coming in. Gerrard is doing the club a solid by buying these aging guys and giving us some cash to go younger in the middle of the pitch.

After doing some research it looks like Tigerfan7218 started the 19/20 and 20/21 threads but he hasn’t posted in a few years so someone else gonna have to step up

Rumors about replacements gonna start heating up

I’ve seen that we have interest in Cheik Doucoure from Palace but they’ll require 70m

I’m guessing we still have Lavia at the top of the list but we better bring in someone else with him if that’s the direction we go

I agree he isn't, but I'm saying he should... for his own development..

He’s good but wouldn’t that just be another Thiago where he spends more than half the season injured?

Apparently we made our first offer for Lavia for £37m which Southampton obviously declined. I’d expect a deal gets done soon now that we’ve officially started the process though

Wow, so hendo is actually out. Losing a lot of leadership with Bobby, Hendo, and Milner leaving. Going to be an interesting season to say the least.
