Seems bizarre to me we haven’t been linked with any rb
We just don’t see TAA as a midfielder. He is a RB that might play inverted, don’t even know if that will be a consistent/long term thing. Gomez will be his backup

Not saying that’s right and really that very much remains to be seen, but that’s the way it looks.

I think getting 2 8’s was a priority. Outside of that, we probably could still use a 6, a LCB to eventually take over for VVD, probably a RCB to ultimately replace Matip and Gomez, a RB unless Calvin Ramsay sets the world on fire, and a RW to eventually take over for Salah

Obviously I don’t think we address all those needs this window, but I think we addressed some needs high on the priority list

I think we are good to go with MF’s unless we sell Thiago then we’ll make a move for Lavia but sure as hell not at 50. I’d rather Stef along with Fab at 6 this year. I think we spend on a CB like Schurr or Colwill (if available). I’m good with that for this year. I’d rather not take minutes away from Jones, Harvey or SB.

I'm for selling Thiago for dirty Saudi money if it gets us younger talented legs in the MF

Rumors now swirling about Henderson considering an offer from Gerrard’s new team in Saudi

On the one hand, this would probably trigger us buying Lavia or someone similar to continue the midfield rebuild/youth movement.

On the other hand, losing Henderson, Milner, and Firmino in one window not counting Mane from last is a lot of leadership lost. I mean we definitely still have a lot of players to help show “the Liverpool way” and a stable locker room, but that’s a lot of leadership gone. Particularly Hendo and Milner who have no problem calling out anyone including VVD and Salah

Weird to say, but of Hendo, Fabs, and Thiago I think I’d most be willing to let Thiago go. Probably has the most value and I wouldn’t want to lose team veterans like Hendo and Fabs just yet.

If we let Fab and Hendo go for 55 then we better making a legit run at Caicedo. He’s plug and play, I would not want to go get Lavia and rely on two teenagers at our 6.

More and more smoke coming about Hendo. Apparently he met with Klopp over this Saudi move, and a couple of junk outlets are saying it is already confirmed.

Obviously no Fabrizio “here we go” yet.

I saw a verbal agreement had been reached.

Insane. He got a lot of hate, but I think his role as a captain was vital part of our team. Also, nice to have someone who knows the system well to play while new signings settle in. Was hoping he’d stick around another year or two in a Milner type role.

It's gonna be interesting as we are losing a lot of leadership.

LINK

Originally the price was 20, now they’re saying 10. Ten would be pretty cheap.

I didn’t expect Saudi Arabia to make this big of an impact this soon. I thought they would pick off elite Muslim players near the end of their prime in the beginning. Then eventually others would follow to collect one last payday.

Apparently Al Ettifaq don’t have PIF backing and can’t afford an upfront transfer fee. The deal is hinging on them coming up with some cash.

Al Ittihad is in ongoing negotiation with Fabinho on a deal for a move. Fabrizio Romano reported this via Twitter.

Fabinho left out of Liverpool squad for tour to Germany after £40m bid from Al-Ittihad. Jordan Henderson travels.

In terms of replacing Fabinho, Moises Caicedo is not viewed as a serious option with the Brighton midfielder expected to join Chelsea.
Romeo Lavia, Sofyan Amrabat, Ryan Gravenberch and Kalvin Phillips are among those under consideration.

Reddy saying the same names

I think its the right decision to let him go for £40mm... As much as I think Lavia would be an outstanding long term prospect, we do need to sign someone with experience... I just hope its not one of the above at the expense of Lavia... That would be a big bummer..

I like Amrabat but that's a pretty disappointing list

I would at least try to get Kessié on loan from Barça.
