It really is hard to watch. He plays decent enough defense, but he is cringe worthy on offense. When he gets the ball I just assume he will pull up and throw his hands in the air.
Painful to watch this weekend. He literally can not dribble forward by himself under no pressure, the ball gets away from him. When he goes to pass, you know its not connecting.

So, that has to mean either a 4-3-3 with one of our strikers playing wing or a 3-5-2, which I'm not completely enamored with either.

I love Studge in the center of a 4-3-3 with Luis on the left cutting inside. Have Enrique bounding into the vacated space behind Suarez and keep Glen Johnson the frick out of the attack. Of course his hanging back in defense doesn't seem all too appealing either.

The moral of the story: Get a new RB now. Glen's stone touch catches him out too often leaving our right completely exposed. Glen's defensive abilities in the box are abysmal.

Pick your poison. Or don't be poisoned at all and ship him out now.

Yea my concern would be to get a new RB, CB that can play on the right if Agger and Sakho can't play together, and DM. We have to shore up the back line

I saw that... it still baffles me that he's a priority over a DM, LB or RCB... he can wait till summer, though I do think he will bring an exciting, added dimension to our attack..

Seba is off back to Nacional on loan... I dont think he's fully fit yet, but its probably his best bet to get fit and some matches in preparation for the WC..

Not sure if will ever be back, I'm guessing not..

yep, he's one for the future... I think Seba is a goner. He seems perfect for Serie A... Anyway, i wish him the best!

Sources reporting Salah is done for 10 mil. Was hoping we'd get him for 8, but considering the asking price was 18 I think it's very good business. Medical supposedly tomorrow.

I'm seeing that Chelsea may get him in the 11th hour... Mata replacement...

edit: we'll see if he wants PT or $

well, considering Basel never accepted a fee for Salah, and Chelsea is allegedly willing to pay the 16m they're asking for, seems like he only has one choice.

The reports we were seeing earlier in the week was there was a fee agreed (obviously not officially accepted) and he was due in for a medical today or tomorrow...

Honestly, while I think Salah is a very good prospect, he isnt in our biggest area of need and missing out on him doesnt bother me...

What does bother me is we play so much grab arse at the negotiation table... for three weeks... and then CFC comes in for him in a day (after Mata) deal and gets him...

I dony know if that is FSG or Ian Ayre... if the latter, he has to go... time and time again..

edit: obviously I dont blame Basel for getting more money, closer to their original valuation, but the player could also push for a move to the club he wants... That said, maybe he did and we balked at the price... I dont think were going to pay £16mm

He's not worth 16. If that's the price I'm fine with him going to Chelsea to spend his career on the bench.
