You still have to score goals to win, even in Europa League. So I'd say you guys are still in trouble.

Maybe hoofing it up to Felliani after playing absolutley no incisive passes for 75 minutes will work in the EL.

Maybe being a tactical genius is more helpful in the Europa League.

Well, they tried something different today, and that didn't work out.

Don't forget all your PL games on Sun. Could be a busy day if Chelsea and Arsenal end up there too.

Yes, but dropping Felliani deep with Schweinsteiger and dropping Carrick to the bench, leaving no one to make a first station pass between the lines except for Blind and Schweinsteiger, is a weird definition of trying something different.

Positionally United seem to play very well, but they can't move those passing patterns up the field. They don't break out of the rigid structure. I've been harping on it for a year. I think a slightly more adventurous manager will do wonders for that team.

They didn't lob long balls up to Fellaini for most of the game, so I'll call it different.

Yup. Sums it up well.

I'm guessing this thread didn't totally go according to plan. More of a "Manchester United Open Bantz Thread."

Top quality bantz though

Unfortunately, mostly all true as well
