Lusher alum here. #5 in Div. III that can hopefully make a push. There's a kid committed to NC State so they've got talent. Too bad that division has a lot of good teams

That's weird. From what I understand most of the south has a Winter schedule (since the Summer/Fall/Spring is too damn hot for 3PM practices after school) while the north plays at the start of the school year, starting in August.

I'm pretty sure Tennessee and maybe Mississippi plays in the spring as well. I probably wouldn't have played in high school if I had to play in the winter. Starting conditioning in December was bad enough. It's not that hot between 3-5 from February-April. Playoffs are in May, and even that's not unbearable.

we're in for the first time ever in class 5A (Division I)... at Catholic BR tomorrow at 4... hope we score once... and give up like less than 6

What's the deal with NLC? When I played them in high school (2007) they were super shitty. Like, our JV team played them and it was a playoff game.

There were some downsides for sure. Most of our night games were cold. I don't like the cold.
Then we had to go play a playoff game up in Funroe and it started snowing. And it went into overtime so it was ~120 minutes of that shite, or however long high school plays for in extra time. I was GASSED.
ETA: Aww shite St. Louis is back in DIII? Well I guess we can call it now.

I like playing in the cold. HS soccer is a fall sport in KY. Conditioning starting in June (two a days) and games starting in August. fricking horrible in 100 degree humidity. Of course the season ended around Thanksgiving when it could be pretty cold.
